The service is nothing out of the ordinary that you get at most shops. If you look around their website it looks as if they have shops in both Japan and Thailand. I think you have to remember not everyone gets the same level of service or has the same expectation. Factors even as small as the time of day or previous customers over enthusiasm can effect the mood consequently he has received a different experience to you.
