clap is a vaginal fluid test and syph is a blood test. Both require laboratories and rather powerful microscopes. You also needs gram-negative stain to recognize clap. Lesser infections require more powerful testing as well.

The HIV test available over the counter (perhaps not in Thailand, though since I've never asked for it) provides a quick reference that assures you that if it is NEGATIVE, no HIV - If positive, though, it takes a more complex test to confirm (it's called "false positives" - it can show positive for several reasons that are not HIV)

BNH Hospital on Soi Convent can do it. Soi Convent is perpendicular to Silom Rd near Sala Daeng BTS. Go to the 4th Floor Check-up Desk and tell them you want to have a blood test for HIV (might as well do all the STDs while you're at it.) This is not the cheapest place, but it's probably the best "westerner-friendly" hospital in the city. They might try to sell you a check-up package, but tell then you just want the blood test.

You could also go to Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom Rd. It's cheaper.

I would have thought just about any cliinic near a Farang mongering area. You certainly wouldn't have to go all the way to Silom if you were in Sukhumwit.

There is a "discussion" going on in the General Reports thread about STD via a BBBJ. Some time ago, someone was talking about getting a STD via DFK. Please forgive my ignorance, guys, this is a genuine question.

If one gets a STD via DFK, where does the infection show itself?

Please forgive me if the following is ignorant, but my limited understanding is that the bacteria and viruses associated with STD’s cannot normally survive in the hostile environment of the mouth, which is why contracting an STD from a BBBJ, DATY, or DFK, is so uncommon. I do all this stuff without much worry, but would never think of having bareback intercourse with a WG.

Is there an expert consensus on this?

If I must now begin the practice of no kissing, no eating, and covered blowjobs, perhaps it's time to go back to the art of wanking. :)
