Thus, my only viable basis for participating in this thread is to note observations that I've made during the course of living here in this fair city. It's no great secret as well that DS and I are friends. Ergo, I've had the opportunity to observe him over an extended period and in several different situations. Thus, I hope I have some credibility when I can tell you dispassionately, that it's all true.

Of course, not everyone will go to the extremes that DS considers routine. To with: he carefully wraps several individual bottles of wine and Champagne in bubble wrap prior to arriving. (The wine gets packed first I think). Second, he actually brings his own candle holders and candles, carefully selected for each trip. Third, he brings seemingly boundless quantities of excellent, expensive chocolates with him, thus eliminating any chance of running out. Finally, he brings various small gifts, each selected carefully to appeal to a certain woman or, failing that, to a certain generic type of woman. As he has said, he also dresses very well. The man does not leave much to chance, and I can attest to the truth of his assertions.

I'm writing this in the midst of our daily brown out which will, if typical, last for about an hour. For those who do not know. Mindanao is in the midst of a power crisis. Davao has been largely spared since the brown outs here last for only short periods. In other areas, such as Butuan, they last for about 12 hours a day. In CDO, from which I just returned, today's brown out lasted for four hours. This marks another seminal stage in the continuing decline of the country, rendering it even less competitive than it already was.

I just remembered that I have a PLDT WeRoam modem in my bag, so I should be able to send this after all.

Just recently spent several days in Davao. GE is real, as is his reason for staying out of the local game. It was cool meeting him, one of the good guys... I can recommend Farfalla and Swiss Deli. Never made it to De Bonte Koe or Claude's. Picobello (on the 5th floor of Gaisano South Mall) is good for impressing the girls with a nice view.

Yes it is a bit of work to get those DIA girls into bed; they tend to want relationships. People's Park and the block across the street had no power one night for a couple of hours. Both Gaisano and Gaisano South Malls experienced intermittent outages. They didn't last long though. Given the gloominess of the local newspapers, we can expect power outages to continue at least until the rainy season. So for those visiting Mindanao in the next few months, keep that in mind.

The power situation in Mindanao is at a crisis stage, with some towns experiencing loss of power for 12 hours and perhaps longer, every day. Here in Davao, each section of the city loses power for two hours a day on a "rolling" basis. Today I was really lucky and got hit by a power loss at work from 11 until 1, and then another at home from about 6 until 8. The crisis has been forecast for years but, as is typically the case here, was ignored until it became reality, and then the politicians reacted as if it were a large surprise.

The politicians blame El Nino, which has caused a prolonged drought, which has, in turn, caused severely low water levels in the bodies of water that are the sources of power for the hydroelectric dams. Some of the newspaper columnists blame the politicians, seeing the power outages as part of a larger scenario for ensuring that the new electronic voting machines don't work properly, thus allowing them to declare a failed election or to fix the results. Given the endless soap opera that is the Philippines, either or both could be true.

Whatever the true cause, the outages are having an impact on local businesses in areas throughout Mindanao, though much less so in Davao. For those businesses--including clubs I'm afraid--located in towns with prolonged power cuts, and without the means to purchase their own generators, it's the edge of disaster. I saw this recently in Butuan, where the entire town was dark at night and most of the local watering holes and restaurants had simply closed.

In Davao, all of the larger hotels--such as the Marco Polo and the Apo View--have their own larger generators, and you can barely notice the two-hour outages when they do occur. Even at the Mallberry Hotel in CDO, there was no interruption of service during the four-hour brown out.

I got a call from GoodEnough. He was informing me that he had a quick trip to the City where my Lady that I met in CDO is now. If you want to dine on delicious ostrich meat or Kangaroo meat, Henny serves both in his De Bonte Koe Restaurant on Rizal Street, behind Chico's, in the courtyard of Haban Compound. Ostrich is P425 and kagaroo is P750, both with bread, baked potato and vegetables. Delicious!

I purchased my two kilos of ostrich at the Crocodile Farm out near the airport. I think it was P 1,900 for two kilos. They also sell crocidile meat there. Henny gets his ostrich from the Ostrich Farm which is outside Davao City. You can take a trip there for a morning or afternoon. Easier to but it at the crocodile Farm which is a 30 minute, 65 pesos taxi ride from either the Marco Polo or Apo View Hotels. If you have a lady with children or children of your own this is a great place.

The admission is about 100 peso per person and it is all in a giant circle. You can bring the children here and they will see verything in an hour and you can relax and enjoy the day. I took my Son, Daniel, and his mother here twice. He says he like Davao ONLY for the Crocodile Farm. The Gift Shop and the stall selling Ostrich Meat and Crocodile Meat is near the Exit. On the way out you can buy it frozen and you simply grill it like a beef steak.

Next to the Crocodile Farm is the Butterfly Farm. Again, a second Trip can be to this Place with children. Your Lady will appreciate this and you will surely get a great "thankyou" blowjob and fuck for your efforts. I intend to bring my infant Son, Conor here next Trip as he will be old enough to have fun. We can bring him in a stroller and the ostrich come right up to the fence making viewing, close-up, easy. Brian, the guy that answered the phone, quoted me P850 to alter my slacks (waist & thighs) and P4000 for my jacket (take in sides). I figured I would just buy new suits for that price. I did stay at the Red Knight. It is "ok" to "good" for sex, but for family, personally, the others with me did not appreciate the ants in the kitchen, bathroom, and living room.
