You need to have cash (pesos) to pay for it before you enter the country as the forex is on the other side of the immigration and customs booths in the airport's lobby. Detailed instructions about the process for getting the visa can be found by RTTF.

A US$50 and a $20 would be enough. They would prefer a benjamin. They know where the forex is.

But, I arrived around 10pm so maybe that's why and perhaps they've changed policy? Anyhow, point is you can get the visa extension right at the airport, fast and easy; no hassles or extra costs with an outside agent or wasting time by going yourself to a BCI office.
