I been there once last year around 3 pm still early not many girl available price is same level as Hotel travel and Classic, I didn't pick a girl quality is not great is 20 min taxi east of Manga Besar area w traffic, there are many place like this all over Jakarta don't think I will go back I have friend that got service there told me is nothing special about the service just another cheap brothel.

So here's an odd one. Recently a mamasan that I've come to know suggested I meet a couple of new girls to see if I was interested. The first was of no interest: chubby, short, bad face. You pay Rp 250,000 per entry, on top of whatever you negotiate with your woman of the moment. So the pants-around-your-ankles-in-plain-sight experience as well as the ugly-chick-security-service shakedown have been replaced by rent seeking from the management of the's Place. In a nod to customer loyalty program, you may get your own card with unlimited access for an annual fee of Rp 4.5 juta.

Again, meddlesome middlemen! Don't they know that there are apps for this, including my soon to be launched BloJek. (Now seeking first-round venture funding. The idea is simple: Women with smartphones on motorcycles receiving messages. Uh, maybe you get the idea).

Finally, a terrorist attacked and killed a police officer at the mosque near Faletehan last week. If these guys ever get their act together, we're in trouble.

Seriously, what does man have to do to get by in Jakarta? I mean, if every other low-rent hotel nearby Blok M didn't have shady spas offering massages, even during Ramadan, all this news would be depressing.

Planning to hit as many places I can, to sniff out places that are the "best fit" for me.

I'm relatively young, and have little experience with lady drinks, so will try to focus on spas. Some places I'm definitely dropping by:

Classic Terminal.

- just very curious about this place!

Emporium Spa.

- intrigued after reading a fantastic FR on this thread.

- keen to try out the VIP girls there.

- as place is run by the Alexis group, I wonder how the quality compares between the two places.

Illegals Spa.

- heard the club here is dead, but the spa facilities seem nice.

- plus, the cost of a normal girl, about 800 k seems reasonable compared to other more extravagant spas.

- they have special theme girls (bases on official Instagram posts), about 1. 0-1. 2 mn. Quite curious about Thai too!

Malioboro.

- just across my hotel.

- quite scared to go to Malio Club, as my inexperience means I will probably be swamped by lady drinks. Maybe I will quickly pick one of the couch girls and get the hell out of there.

- heard Malioboro Spa is NOT value for money? Will have to see the girls' quality for myself.

King Cross.

- bit far, but heard it is incredibly value for money. 800 k for locals.

- I also hear the dancers can be had for 1.5 mn ish. Keen to find out.

Sumo Spa.

- 800 k for 2 girls. ? Need to experience this myself.

- also, the dancers here can be taken for around 1.0 mn, I gather. Will be good value, if quality is there.

Still unsure about Alexis and The Pool. I'm sure the standard over there is great, but would it be so much above the other places to justify the significant extra outlay? Will probably stick with Empo, if quality can be found there, since its cheaper and closer.

Also iffy on V2 Spa. Very little info to be found online, but extremely close to my hotel. Maybe I will bite the bullet and explore it myself.

I will report back on my experiences after each day. Hopefully, they will prove useful to someone haha.

If so, I'll also considering places like Tease (1.8 mn), Malio Spa (1.7 m, 2.0 m) and Malio Club (3.3 m).

I'm planning a golf trip with a group of about 10 guys. *One thing I'm grappling with is whether to stay in central or north Jakarta. *I've stayed in central Jakarta many times and done BATS and*CJ's as have some of the group. *I'm thinking I'd like to try Alexis, Malio and maybe some clubs and I heard there are some good ones in north Jakarta. *I'd also like to avoid the sausage fest at CJ's, and with 10 guys, we'd only be adding to it.

Do any of you guys have any thoughts on staying strictly in north Jakarta and the options. *I've read a lot of posts on Alexis and Malio and it sounds like you could make an entire night at either of those places, albeit and expensive one. *.

I also like to stay at central Jakarta around Hyatt hotel area good central locations and many Mall for shopping during the day, you can always take a taxi to the north at taxi is cheap here there are not too many 5 star hotel in the north.

It's truly sad that Maribaya has closed. I had some great times there over the years.

I find it hard to believe that anyone will be paying 250 k just to enter the VIP room at DS place, but I am curious what they've done. Unfortunately, I am guessing the girls are the same they have had for the past 10 years or so.

Although new and clean, those rooms at Yello are tiny. Harris Hotel Harmoni is brand new and has a 60 square meter suite that is only $100 a night. I guess it depends how often you will be in the room. Considering your aggressive itinerary at various brothels, you likely won't be in the room much, so you don't have to worry much about being in a small hotel room. Personally, I like to bring girls to my room as well and find it nice to have a bigger room.

In my opinion, the quality of girls and facilities at Alexis is far superior to Emporivm pretty much every time. The last time I visited Emporivm (I rarely go there), I didn't see any girls I liked and left. But like anywhere, the staff rotates and you can find gems anyplace.

V2 has some good talent most times. It's worth checking out since you are so close.

Illegals normally has some excellent talent in the karaoke, but is expensive.

Although I love King Cross and Sumo, Since you are only in town less than a week and wanting to try a plethora of venues, I suggest you skip Kelapa Gading and stick to the places you are close to. I never understand the need to visit every place in town in one visit. Savor the experience.

I went to Maribaya this week and the doorman told me it is closed for renovation. I would be surprised if it was bankrupt, since it belongs to the hotel. The doorman showed me to the alternative location, across the road where I could choose from a number of girls. I recognised none of them, but selected one just to try her out. The room was even seedier than Maribaya, with only a mattress on the floor. Service from the girl was mediocre. I'm trying to connect some of the girls I know and invite them to my hotel.
