Correction if I mislead anyone
Red Knight is not all retired guys. I have a friend, who is also a colleague who lives there--not fat and not balding--but definitely one of us "older" guys with his share of 18-25 year old women.
My problem with the Red Knight (I didn't know about the ants), is the furniture. It looks like someone bought it in job lots at K Mart about 20 years ago. The beds are foam pads, and the TVs look like they were purchased circa 1975, with small screens. If I were to think of living there I'd get a price for an unfurnished apartment and then I'd furnish it myself for $1,000 or so.
GE
Sorry if I gave an incorrect statement. A few of the guys I spoke to were in there 60's, one was 67 for sure as he was proud of his age and getting young pussy.
I agree, younger guys are there too. I spoke with R, a 36 young old Korean, enjoying the retired & partying life too.
We were not in the main building, we were acress the street. The unit we had were setup a little different as the living room and bedrooms were on one level.
I agree on the furniture. Foam pad mattress hurt my back after the first day (previous back injury 10 years ago in a car), TV was small and only in the living room. Sofa in the living room had a cushion of about 3", it was not comfortable for long sitting (over an hour) for me. Oh, the only disappoinment I had was the safe that I read somewhere. The safe is a small lunch box and you have to provide your own lock. I decided to carry my laptop and passport with me everywhere.
For the price I'm not going to complain, but I went there with an open mind, not expecting much. Also, take in consideration, I only stay at Marriott's & Westin's when I travel for work. I'm not snotty, Red Knight was ok for me and would be ok for a place to entertain young pussy. I undertsand there is worst but I have not stayed anywhere else close by.
It's sure not the Marriott

If you're used to five start luxury hotels, and if this is the standard at which you feel most comfortable, then the Marco Polo is only real alternative for you. If you're willing to settle for slightly less (but only slightly), then the Apo View becomes a viable choice. There are guys I know who like the Grand Regal, but it's too far out and too shabby for real consideration in my opinion.

Restaurants and Davao Pussy
Guys,
I finally got to reading an e-mail forwarded by GoodEnough. It is an internet article by a filipina living in Singapore who is some sort of Food Critic. She visited Davao and stayed at some hotel, most likely the Marco Polo. Mentions a "highly recommended" chinese restaurant here called "Ah Fat" (yes, you heard it correctly). What the fuck kind of a name is this! In any event even the Hotel Concierge said it was a "must try", as well as, the guy at the car rental place. Ya right!
I never heard of this place. Most likely it is over on Torres St where there is a long line of chinese and filipino restaurants. I dined at one of them that a taxi driver took us to a couple years ago. It was not very good and so I did not return. I read of one restaurant there in an article in the Cebu Pacific "In Flight" magazine that has been around since the early 80's and is also a "must see". I have never been to it.
To be honest, when I was first coming to Davao City I visited many restaurants that filipinas living here took me to for lunch or dinner. Mostly they were filipino barbecue places. All were pretty terrible and the atmosphere was conducive to transients, street denizens and the like. Back then I was staying at Casa Leticia which has, beyond a doubt, the worst food of any restaurant inside a Hotel anywhere in the world. Not even close to edible. END OF STORY!
So, back then I avoided room service for fear of food poisoning and drank only coffee from the "inclusive" morning breakfast. They covered the fried or poached eggs with vinegar, making them rancit. Most of the foods came directly out of a can, onto the frying pan and then to your plate. DISGUSTING. I had to constantly look for places to dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I found quickly as I did elsewhere in the Philippines that relying on a filipina to locate a decent restaurant was about as likely as having her locate a $ 1,000 US to spend. Same with asking any filipinos I came in contact with back then. They knew only of cheap places serving cheap, poor quality filipino foods that are best avoided if you desire to stay healthy.
It was not until I located O'Flanagan's (now gone, sadly), De Bonte Koe, Cafe de Ville, La Toscana and the 3rd floor chinese restaurant and lobby restaurant at the Marco Polo that I found edible food in Davao City. Now there is also Farfalla's out towards Lanang. Also the Plaza Bistro on the fourth floor of the Marco Polo and "Entree" inside Apoview Hotel which is also very good and gets a "hands down" A for ambiance (nice, intimate booths, candlelight, quiet music, a view of japanese gardens where you can also dine and an attentive but not over bearing staff).
I cannot think of anyplace else that is worth eating. Swiss Deli is only adequate. If not for GE liking this place for lunch, I would never go inside except to buy french red wines (best prices in davao) and the fresh baked bread and nice cheeses/desserts. The filipino barbecue restaurants (5 or 6 there now) located around the area of Ground Zero (J Camus & Illustre Sts corner) are good for bringing filipinas to eat late at night or for finding pussy late at night. Have a beer or soft drink here but avoid the food which is layered in salt (last thing your heart needs).
At 11:30Pm back in July 2008 I took May and her four roommates from Ateneo University here as they complained of being hungry (like it was my fucking problem). I nursed a beer as the five "gremlins" devoured barbecue pork. Cost to me was 550 pesos. The place was clean and okay. I left to sleep at 12:30AM and they were still there eating and talking in vasyan like I was just a "big wallet" at their table. The little assholes did not even say thankyou to me as I left. Too busy chomping away. Made a mental note to NEVER ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN. I have avoided being taken for a "meal ticket" from that day to the present.

Another Davao City Hustler
Guys,
I awoke late night here on the US West Coast. Decided to do some more work and check evening mail. My Yahoo Messenger opens and a 24 y/o that I first met back in July 2008 in Davao CIty comes to say hello to me. She hustled me good the last part of 2009 which I reminded her and told her, "no more money".
I hate being "taken". Not the money as much as the deceit. And some guy was "advising" me on my new Love from CDO, a Pro??? I have been ripped off numerous times by nice, sweet, regular girls working as nurses, teachers, department store sales girls, waitresses, etc. In this instance the lady works in sales in a department store. At least she did until she claims to have gone home and gotten married in Dumaguete.
I heard from her a couple times in October and November saying she was broke and please help. I had seen her on two separate trips and found her to be sweet and nice and a good fuck. Nothing in the way of tits but cannot always have this.
Last December she texts me twice for money. First for food and then so she can buy her three children back home Christmas girts (has twin daughters age 4 and a 7 y/o son she says). So thinking she is sweet I send her $ 50 US and then $ 70 for her children for Christmas. Did this inspite of her not meeting me in October when I was in Davao (had some excuse).
While in Davao this last Trip she refuses to meet me. Reason she says is I have many women and she could get a disease from me. I don't waste my time doing anything but replying that she had no trouble asking me for money many times. Then I simply forget the tramp. But she has come online numerous times trying to "explain" to me and get me back in the "giving" money mood. I refuse and tell her I will have the Police in Davao pick her up when I return. I say this solely to get her to leave me alone.
She comes right now with how she is married and her husband will look after her. Tells me she could care less what I do. Well, I said at least I could do was send her nude photos and video blowing/fucking me to her husband. Hell, he may enjoy this. Then I clicked off just as she began pleading with me not to do this.
In any event, I found some photos of her from July 2009, last time I saw her. To quote a former US President, Harry Truman, "ingratitude is a cardinal sin". I have to quit it helping these ingrate filipinas who fuck me and then hit me up for money when I am home.

This is the screwing you get.......
.. for the screwing you got initially and then did not get afterwards!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry that it happened to you too, Dragon Slayer. Once you make your intention of 'Fuck and Forget' known, all these sob-stories vanish. So do the phone calls/ text messages.
Hope you have better luck with the next one you meet. Your mention of islands in the southern archipelago are very interesting and off the beaten path. Girls from these parts are generally not so mercenary-like as one finds in Metro Manila.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

Another Pathetic old Fart
On Assignment,
Got your geritol there old man? You retirees sometimes DO amuse me. You must obviously have gotten into some guy's liquor closet. You missed the entire point. She came to me asking for money several times last year. Even though she "invented" excuses for not seeing me either of my last few trips she constantly asked me to give her money. I did this several times including twice in December.
When I was in the Phils in January she texted me numerous times requesting me to wire her money. But she would not see me again. Then, when I am back home working she is once more constantly trying to "work me" for more money. Finally telling me what she denied for two years: SHE IS MARRIED TO SOME FILIPINO IN DUMAGUETE.
You sorry guys living on your retirement are really too much for me. Stay in your island hut and play with yourself. The real irony is that someone like you would never have sent the girl money in the first place. I have my children to be concerned about. This is where ALL my financial obligation lies.
I posted her photos here so other men would not fall for her nonsense. She is online working the net for money constantly, as are numerous other women. Guys like you just wish you had what I have in the Philippines and here in the US.
Now go back to your hammock and stay the fuck off my Forum. GOt it old man! Oh and I do NOT have any diseases as I check this constantly. It IS guys like you who get them.

Happy Birthday to the horny pensioner

Will see you soon and bring another bottle of Gervey as a presentor maybe Margaux. Or both.
Have a good one.
Davao: Plan your Trip now
barba,
thanks for the restaurant input. we need more of this information here. anyone know of a fine dining establishment in davao city that we have missed? please mention it here.
guys,
second week in may i should be here. top of my agenda is the baptism of my youngest son. if at all interested in attending please pm me with a physical address where i can mail the formal inviation (no e-mail invites. end of story). this is how i choose to do it. this is taken extremely seriously by me. forget that rose cannot even figure out how to make the baptismal scheduling with the church. on her, "the ship set sail not long after her birth". i can do most of it from here and goodenough has been kind enough to handle what arrangements i cannot.
ge found the im he got last october from the gm at anisable suites detailing a "preferrred rate for me" in a suite room there. when i arrived i was quoted a rate 800 pesos per night higher than this. the gm denied ever making the other "offer" to ge, his cellphone proves otherwise. my guess is either the manager and gm forgot the rate quoted to ge or, when seeing me decided i was "good for a much higher rate". i paid p2800/nt for a lousy room worth no more than p1200-1500/nt. this is probably what the filipinos who stay there pay, p1200/nt or less. the place is horrible and avoid it. stay out of the fucking filipino restaurant there. i got food poisoning eating there one evening; had me ill for three days/nights.
if planning a trip here later in the summer, avoid the kidapawan festival time. it is the worst possible time to be in davao city. hotels double their rates and the city is overcrowded and un able to maintain even the slightest of services. this festival is the third week in august. so skip this eight day period when making travel plans here in davao. as for me, i will be in cdo then.
ge told me my baby from cdo called him the other day to wish him a happy birthday. she does appear to make an effort where others do not. doubt is any of the three mothers of my children did this. and yes, i speak to them all almost daily and i did mention that ge's birthday was at hand. i think as long as the money comes in from me they are not interested in much else.
i reviewed what each mommy has received since jan 1. and some fucking idiot says in that website, "living____", you can live in the phils on $ 500 us/month. sorry you cannot! you might barely exist. money and professional advising on matters dealing with profitability and budgeting and investing is a lot of how i earn my living. you need a minimum of $200/mo for an apartment or home here in davao city and it will not be much. food, if you dine in only, is $300/mo for two people. have children? my infant son's milk, [CodeWord131], baby food and misc. are more than $200/mo. nanny is the only inexpensive item at $ 50/mo but she lives and eats in the home also. add another $ 22/mo for utilities without a/c. dining out once a week only at any of the places we mention will run you $50 each time without wine.
to be noted is that cellphone costs/month, travel costs, clothing, drinking (absolutely no room in your bidget ever for a bottle of champagne), partying, chasing pro or semi-pro pussy (out of your $$ league), medical expenses (you better not get sick pal;and if the "old lady" gets ill you have problems), books and magaziens, cable tv,etc are not included in the above amounts. a minimum of $ 300/month has to be included for this. more if you intend to partake of pussy (if not what the fuck are you doing here in davao city anyway, you dickhead!!!).
the "advice" given on many of these websites is from people who know little or nothing about what they are writing. both my sons live in decent, comfortable apartments but nothing close to elegant or "western standards" for living. both mothers are employed full time in what can be termed good employment. both dine at home for all but special occasions (valentine's day, easter sunday, birthday of them or my son, mother's day). both receive from me monthly more than what the dipshit in the expat website says you need to live "comfortably". guy must live like a caveman or something worse. a reality check is needed.

Pleasing Women: Giifts that Work
Guys,
Happy Easter!
I am having a nice, relaxing day. Love it! In anticipation of my upcoming trip to the Phils I went online to an upscale department store website where I have a very large creditline, unused for well over a year now (just did not feel like buying women anything). I took advantage of several Sales, Discounts and Seasonal Offers to purchase gold pendants and earrings with precious metals (diamonds, rubies, emeralds) and also some nice perfume and expensive lipsticks.
When my Baby in CDO went shopping for shoes to wear for dinner celebrating my birthday she proudly showed me the very cheap lipstick and make-up she got for a few pesos. All to look lovely that evening for me (like she had to "try" to look beautiful. You saw her photos, she IS naturally "Drop Dead Gorgeous"). I made a mental note then to purchase for her expensive lipstick, nail polish and perfume. I like my woman smelling great!
While at it I got diamond earrings (took advantage of another promo for this) for my daughter and gifts for the three mommies. I have to give Rose something elegant to go with her red, silk dress Chardon is making for the Baptism and Reception Dinner that evening. So I got this. And I DO want the "little mothers" to feel Love and My Gratitude for the children. Ya, I could have been koripot (vasayan for cheap) and just given out chocolates but I have been doing that for some time now.
To be honest, I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU EVER DO THIS (buy expensive gifts) FOR A LADY YOU JUST MET OR KNOW ONLY RECENTLY. You come off too strong and look like you are trying to "impress her" and "buy her", which YOU ARE DOING. Gifts costing more than $10 should be given only to a Lady who 1) you have been blown/fucked by magnificently and 2) has made a serious effort to let you know she does like you and care about you. You are NOT rewarding her for fucking you (seriously, you are not) but you do this to "make her feel special and happy".
For women you are meeting for the first time or just recently met/fucked for the first time one or two of the large Hershey's Chocolate Bars works great. These can be bought for $ 1.25 to $2.99 US depending on the size (4.25oz - 8oz) and promotions. I posted about my flying Mae, a gorgeous co-ed at Ateneo Univ here in Davao City back in July 2007. I had her meet me at my Hotel in Makati City and we dined at three different japanese restaurants in "Little Tokyo" section of Makati City. Afterwards I fucked her that evening and again the following morning before departing home to the US.
As I was leaving I gave her a bottle of Sparkling Wine I never opened, 1,000 pesos so she had money when I left plus $ 50 US as she was staying at the Home of relatives after I left and anything can go wrong. Then, I opened my one bag and found a large Hershey's Chocolate Bar that I missed when handing out the chocolates to my Daughter in Leyte. I handed it to her and she let out a loud scream of real delight and happiness. Even jumped up and down. Kissed me deeply to say "thankyou". Did none of this when handed a fifty dollar US bill or the Sparkling Wine.
Tells you a lot about what pleases women. And the chocolate bar set me back all of $ 1.50 in my City. So why am I buying expensive gifts of Fine Jewelry and Perfume/Lipsticks for my Baby from CDO, Rose and the two other Mothers? Good question and I am pleased that you asked. Basically, because I want to do this. Makes me feel good to do this and, hopefully, they will feel good receiving. Same with my beautiful Daughter.
