Hi folks,
I will be dropping in to Jakarta for a couple of days from Singapore on a work trip.
Am staying at the Kempinski, assuming they don't have any bar from where one can pick up women. Are there any bars or massage places in the adjoining mall?
My friend from Singapore have asked me to try out Illegals and Alexis. Hope they are close to the area where I am staying.
Grateful if I can get any more recommendations for places close by. Would prefer a spa / massage / fishbowl type placed as opposed to pick up bars as I don't want to risk taking any women to my hotel (colleagues staying at the same place).
Look forward to hearing from you guys.
Thanks in advance.
A.
I have stayed and will be staying at Kempinski in my next visit. You can visit Bats and Cj's on one side and Malio and Alexis on the other. Not very close but taxis readily available. According to your preference Alexis and Maliboro should be good options. As you don't want to get girls into the hotel. Both are pretty expensive though. If you are looking to spend most of your night try the dance clubs at these locations before you go for the session.

Raghavan
Thanks for the reply. Coming to Freelancers I heard the free lancers there are risky. So are there another alternative places suggested would be good.
Tourist places I checked but didn't find any at all. Which interests me during the day. So though of asking you guys.
Thanks I would consider a hotel only in Central Jakarta.
And for sure I will post my review and rates.
Still waiting, or are you just a one-handed typist?

Walk of Shame
Nothing has changed in the last 15 years, let alone the last 4. The only change is the price has increased.
And the walk of shame is still completely imaginary.

A.
I stayed at Grand Hyatt which is in the mall across from the Kempinski. Visited Alexis hotel which took about an hour by taxi (man, people warn you about Jakarta traffic but you have to experience it to believe it). You can call it an open air fishbowl with Viets, Indos, Thais and CISC girls. Quality ranges from 6's to the 9's. I sampled a really pretty Viet (number 159, I believe). She tried to please but the whole experience was a bit mechanical. Still, to be with such a stunner more than made up for it. I was there at about 6 on a Friday and the action was just starting up. Was also there next day at about the same time and it was well under way so I would suggest getting there much earlier on Saturday. Malio is on the way to Alexis but I didn't visit. Taxis are safe and reliable (Bluebird and associated more expensive Silverbird brands are the most reputable) and the drivers are polite to friendly though they don't speak much English, so don't be intimidated to use them. I took the highway toll route on the way back to save time even though it cost a bit more.
Indonesia Mall in which the Grand Hyatt is located has Immigrants on the top floor which is basically a pick-up joint. Entry is right next to the restaurant / bar with the same name which I mistook for the real deal and ordered a drink at the bar. The bar tender discreetly told me that what I was looking for was next door! Still, as I was sitting at the bar, a pretty girl who was hovering around the hostess desk sat next to me and smiled. I couldn't guess whether she had more than a smile on her mind so I just smiled back and went next door after the drink. I was there much before the action which starts at about midnight (at least on Saturday). As it picked up, I noticed that the same girl from the restaurant was there too. There were lots of girls looking to provide company though I didn't sample. They ranged from 5-6's to at least one 10 and a couple of guys worked on her on the dance floor throughout the time I was there trying to wear her demands down (lots of head-shaking attested to that) while plying her with drinks. It looked like it was working but I left at about 2 as I had to catch a early flight out. If you're looking for company, you should find it there. There is also the Burgundy bar / resto on the ground floor. I didn't notice an overt soliciting and there were a number of single girls but given my experience at the Immigrants restaurant I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were available.

Dharmawangsa
Unless you are staying at the Dharmawangsa.
Looked at their site and it looked like a pretty good hotel, but I'm not impressed by their location.
Are they girl-unfriendly?

Are they girl-unfriendly?
It's girl friendly. The hotel won't complain about the girls, but the older Indonesian women staying there will. It's a true walk of shame taking girls there.

Rooms were from 3500 dollars to 5000 dollars (US) per night. So I googled and found out that for a couple of hundred bucks you can get a room!

If there were ever any rooms for 3500 to 5000 a night, that must have been a huge suite. Nobody would have paid that for the regular rooms there.

Hi all
Will be in Jakarta from Aug 29th onwards for a week. Any fellow monger bro there at that time and interested in some joint hunting together may inbox me.
Cheers.

Try batam
Dude,
You don't need to go as far as Jakarta but try the batam scene close to Singapore 30 minute ferry ride so is Bintan island both Malaysian.

They had / have some very nice apartments that would likely go for those prices per month.
As many as you like until you reach your home bank's daily limit. Typically $1000.

Danamon is one of my favourites. Max. 3 million per withdrawal but you can do more than one withdrawal at a time. Don't know how many times you can repeat per day.
BCA also works fine for me (2 million per withdrawal), but HSBC always refused my card.
FWIW, the limit is for a 24 hour period, midnight to midnight in the time zone of your bank. You need to have a 4 digit PIN only and you need to have your bank allow foreign transactions for some banks. Also some ATMs have a max limit of the currency bill. I like 100 ks.

Jakarta vs Batam

Mongering is very limited in Quality and options in Batam Jakarta is only a short flight from Singapore and ticket is cheap, if you only have a few day then Batam is a good options ferry ride is more like an HR not 30 min and immigration take forever on weekend.
