Time will be very tight. There are too many things that you did not include in your timeline. Do you have 4-5 hours between flights or are you allocating an hour to check in and board, and saying you have 4-5 hours free to monger? What time are you landing? If it's after 11:00pm, yes you can get to BKK in about 30 minutes from the time you are getting in the cab till the time you reach Nana.
If it's in the afternoon or early evening you could be looking at an hour or more each way. It's gridlock. Freelancer or barfine? They're in two different locations, one is very close to current airport on Sukhumvit -- less than 5 minutes away. The other -- Soi Cowboy is close to the new, soon to be opened airport in another part of town. Roughly B$200 apart by taxi, in no traffic.

Try the Nana Inn (not Nana Hotel) opposite side of the road to the world famous Grace Hotel. Soi 3, which is a side road off Sukhumvit Road. Also a stones throw from Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Annies, my favourite massage palour. Nice cozy quiet hotel with decent sized rooms and guest friendly. A 5 minute ride by tuk tuk should get you to all your desired destinations, if you get my drift!

I will be returning to BKK after my first trip in July. Last time I stayed in Nana area,
But this time I would like to move further up suck & spit & stay in grotty lodge.
What I would like to know is, what the entertainment is like around grottos lodge.
Is it a good location for the cowboy area and soi33? Is it walk able and how long would it take? Are there any other places of interest in that area, like beer gardens etc?
What are the costs like? My fear is that if there is not much entertainment about, and it is expensive, I might be temped to Pay grottos BF of 1500bth.

Once you clear customs, change money, including your exist fee of 550 baht. Then jump in a taxi either at arrivals or departures. Get drkopped off at the corner of Nana and Suk and stock up on your Viagra (and condoms for the ladies) Then hot foot it to some shag fest like Annnies or Eden. Then fuck your brains out. Your time constraints mean you have no time for window shopping, just some heavy duty shagging. If you are doingt a long fliught, you might find a massage, a blow job and a rim are better than firing all of your guns at once.

As far as plan B is concerned, I would recommend that 1st, you get a Visa before you arrive in BKK. You do not want to be wasting time getting a Visa upon arrival. You do NOT have time to waste.
Recommendation #2 is to hit Google and do some searching. Contact an Escort Agency, Limo service or something similar and find out what kind of options you might have. I listed some agencies below. I have only tried Number 1 BKK Models and don't know any of the others first hand. It was 3,000 baht years ago, and now the websites say 6,000 baht. 3 times as expensive as the norm in the city, so it depends how much you want to pay for the experience.
