I think it is usually best to go to these type of places with atleast a few friends in order to party right, share the overhead, and get the most out of the club like you did or be willing to spend a small fortune on a balcony room, a couple of girls, open bar, and boom boom for just one.

It is called The Pool @ 1001 or something like that and it is also managed by the Alexis Group. From what I have read the Pool @ 1001 sounds very similar to the 7th floor lounge & pool facility at the Alexis Hotel. Prices are similar too: 1,400,000 rp for Indo girls & 2,400,000 rp for imports. That gets you 30 minutes of pool time and 60 minutes boom boom time in a private room with a girl of your choice. I like the Alexis Hotel a lot. On my last trip I met some great girls there, so I am up to checking out this 1001 bordello on my next trip and while I am there do a little reconnaissance in the KTV/Club to see if it could be good for me as well. I have done 2 girl at Royal bar and MTR 2 at Kota Indah and Mewar Bintang at Manga Besar price is about the same as classic hotel room is not as nice girls, I have got good service at Royal bar and only CBJ and poor service at Bintang and MTR 2 at this low end place the house get most of the money so I don't expect porn star experience from this place.

Their business plan is pretty straight forward: offer a large selection of high quality, young girls, make reasonably sure they provide great service, and charge a lot of money for it.

Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but I have consistently found over the years that Alexis has the kind of girls I am looking for and want. They always seem to have a large number of young, attractive Indo girls plus much smaller contingents of more mature yet still attractive Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese girls, and 5 or 6 ugly former Russian Federation girls for customers that crave white meat. All the girls sit in groups according to nationality around a medium size lounge / bar area. Drinks are available, but are never pushed. There is no pressure to buy a girl a drink. A customer gets 30 minutes fooling around time in the small pools and 60 minutes private time with a girl. Rooms are well kept and large, especially the "VIP" rooms.

On your particular complaint: I have never spent much time thinking about the form one way or another. It just didn't seem important to me. I tip only when a girl gives me good to great service. No form is going to change that or make me tip when I don't think it is deserved, so I feel no intimidation or pressure.
