Bangkok Airport - Two Questions
Touch down at 23.30 from Beijing, and I sprint to immigration before the rest of the herd arrive. . . . I negotiate my way to the exit past all the young ladies selling over-priced limo rides and head up to arrivals. Grab a cab, offering just meter fare to the driver which he happily accepts.
1. Is there a separate immigration line for business class passengers?
2. Why go UP to the ARRIVALS level to catch a taxi? Is it significantly cheaper than hailing one on the lower level near baggage claim?

They do have a special line if you are Thai.
2. Not sure exactly where I was catching a cab as I fly out for Chiang Mai many times. However, wherever you get metered fares would be the lowest price. There is a stand for these and always avoid the touts for special service/limos. Also, I believe you have to pay for tolls if you want to get there fast. I always do. Arriving late night as I usually do, there is very little traffic around midnight. The last time in, about 3 weeks ago, I also came from Beijing.
