Well I said the girls are selective. They don't say yes to everyone. They will just say "Not Interested". All of them are WGs. I got refused by few girls but others were quite willing. Suggestion: If you're bar crawling, out looking, when you leave, get your hand stamped, just in case you need to make a return visit, especially if you're a visitor (habitual residents tend to become known). on a similar vein i was in the jungle club in the fortune hotel in frij mera last night. i have no idea if that is the correct spelling but frij mera is adjacent to al baraha. ethiopian nightclub with 4 dancers who are nothing to write home about. one ethiopian singer was gorgeous though. there was a rep001tering of ethiopian girls around who i would guess would be available. maybe 20 in all ranging from 3s up to a 9 who was drop dead gorgeous in a clingy white dress. anyway at about 1. 30 a guy decided to start dancing on the floor near to the stage but was promptly told to sit down again by the bouncers. my girlfriend spoke to a waitress who advised that the reason being that 2 cid were in the club. they must have left because things then got back to normal.

the club closed at 3am so myself, my girlfriend and 2 other girls went over to claridge hotel for shisha. this claridge is definitely not to be mistaken by the claridges in london!

we walked into the shisha lounge only to be caught up in the middle of a cid raid. i wasn't sure exactly what was going on at the time and assumed the management were just trying to limit the amount of people going in. it started getting a bit nasty when a fat female cid lady started pushing the girls around. luckily i didn't get involved. we were then all told to stand in line and i ended up at the front eye to eye with this cid guy who was staring me out. he asked me where i was from and when i told him england he made it clear that it was best if i left. this i did. i stood outside and called my girlfriend who told me it was best if i went home which is what i did. she and a load of others were taken off to jail and she got out this afternoon after being fined for drinking alchohol.

all in all a bit of a wake up call as to how risky dubai is and how you can get dragged into things even when you have done nothing wrong. another week until ramadan so be careful everyone.

Last week I was taking a CIS into my car and getting off the golden triangle, just on the corner an Police guy stopped me showing his I'd on the air while I was driving.

It seems that they have been followed me or spotting me since I got with the girl in my car from the Hotel, it couldn't be a coinsidence.

I was so drunk, I drank over than 5 beers that night after I forgot I was driving, actually I used to do that last 2 months as I used to drive safely back to my home late nights and no one was in my way before. And I am a good driver even when drunk.

I got down and met the officer, surprizenly I gatherd my strength and I talked to him in Arabic like a friend or someone wants to know what is going on around that area and I'd anything went worng for a crime or something, I stood straight and talked strong and along with my Arabic and friendly talk I guess he didn't suspect anything.

I was gratefull he didn't show me that device, and told me to blow in it. He said its normal procedure and wants to see my License and I'd, and so for the girl.

He asked me about the girl, and I insisted she is a friend who lives in JBR which I told him all foreigners are, and late night I cannot leave a girl outside alone.

He knew I was bluffing him but he went along, and asked me to stay away while talking to the girl and asked her for an I'd.

She didn't have any, so I approached him and convinced him that it is normal for someone to keep it at home sometimes and it doesn't worth it, he laughed a litle and told me to go.

I guess he was in a good mood, or it was my good drunk mood who convinced him. But I guess it was just my good luck.

The top tier clubs all enforced entrance fees, not needing customer loyalty. They fill up regardless. 2nd and 3rd tier clubs another matter. Myself, I always appreciated a club that appreciated regular customers. I didn't expect a free drink, but an entrance [i]wave[/i] was appreciated, and ensured repeat business. Imperial Suites had haphazard enforcement; when an entrance fee was requested, I'd just say,"York it is." Not a threat, but statement of fact. Sometimes it worked and I was waved in. When it didn't, York just got more business from me. Seaview would be the only place where I wouldn't mind paying an entrance fee, even though I dropped the most money in there, just for the band.

For regulars, 2nd tier clubs certainly, it does pay to introduce yourself to the manager, complement him on his club, how much you enjoy [i]relaxing[/i] there. Can be helpful if you encounter [i]roadblocks[/i] at some future date.

Will be interesting to see how things settle down after Ramadan and Eid, back to normal as it were.

BTW: talked to an a-lister, ex-Cyclone, ex-'Snake, this week. Now works Jules ("old bar, too many ladies", the traditional wg lament). She was heading home this week, returning September, the traditional a-lister holiday break. Another ex-'Snake girl I know moved to Premiere.

Obviously, discretion the better part of valor. Unless you've got a Sheik's "wasta" card on you, best to keep you mouth shut and smiling when dealing with LE. It may not make sense to outsiders, but honestly given the uncertainty about anything here (contracts, regulations.) it is not surprising that this is the preferred approach.

Our skin can (most of the time) be our passport, but that does not cover the providers.

Thursday I decided to take some exploration, I arrived Jockey's around 9PM, M / F ratio was quite good (most of the guys were not shopping anyhow) There was a significant contingent of African girls with quite nice bodies (Nigerian peacekeepers one would suspect) and the Chinese crowd. This was a couple weeks ago but better late than never.

Went in and there was uniformed security in the lobby. I was escorted to the floor and went into the spa.

Got to DBX late evening, through the formalities pretty quick. The immigration hall was as empty as I have ever seen it but I had Marahaba service so I was in the duty free buying supplies about 15 minute after the flight landed.

Went to Le Meridian Airport and after a quick shit, shave and shower went to Julies Bar.

Good selection of ladies mostly Asian (PRC?) and some Caucasian (CIS).

Picked a nice looking PRC and she offered a second girl for LT.
