I've said it before, these $$ discussions are useless other than a reference of what can be had. There are so many factors. Our small little group is not going to sway worldwide economics. I had one girl on beach road tell me "you want pretty? 1000 baht, you want ugly. 500." One factor.

How are you going to compete with a Thai manufacturer wining and dining a US customer looking to spend millions? I saw this the other night at Baccara, Thai guy negotiating for an American. Both clearly businessmen. A friend of mine buys electronic equipment from Korea. He gets girls delivered to the room every night. I don't think Korea is cheap for P4P otherwise Koreans wouldn't be in AC. This is just a small example. And believe it or not even in this economy there are plenty of guys with tall bank. I spent two days with a girl from Baccara, she had texts coming in all day. Some Japanese guy that works for Honda. I'm sure it's expensed. She thought it was funny and annoying how much he chased her.

Pretty easy to take a girl from a beer bar for 1000 LT too if you play your cards right. Especially easy if you've already developed a relationship with them. There are some real pigs in the beer bars, but there are also some gems. Sometimes it's unbelievable.

I took a taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya and it came to 1, 200 which was via the meter and also during Songkran. Cheaper options are Bus from Ekkami to Pattaya or mini-bus from Victory Monument, both around 100 baht. Personally I prefer the Victory Monument choice or split a taxi fare with a friend.
