Please recommend an Airbnb. Hotel
Lots of AirBB in that area are not guest friendly. Make sure you read the house rules before you reserve it and make sure you ask the host is visitors are allowed as well.
I asked the Airbnb host if the place was guest friendly, the first time he said "yes", but, thanks to Nypher's advice, I asked again and the answer was "it depends from the security guy, someone yes, someone no".
For my first time here, it is getting complex. A wrong apartment can ruin the staying! Can you suggest a nice place to stay, quiet and girl friendly, possibly less than USD 65 per night?
P.S. Maybe I should chose a different location after Medellin for my 2nd of 3 weeks. Cali, Santa Marta?
Thanks a lot!
Hotel, AIR, etc and guests
One reason I am going to Santa Marta after my stay next week in Cartagena is to ensure I have a nice room where guests are not an issue. At least I hope so as there is nothing in the hotel website in Santa Marta that indicates otherwise. I am staying there at the La Placita Vieja Boutique Hotel next to the Parque Novios. My first week stay in Cartagena is at the Hotel Santa Clara, Sofitel, so I already know that's a no-go. Has anyone stayed at the La Placita? It has the best rating in Santa Marta but, of course, that has nothing to do regarding guests being allowed.
I am also staying at an AIR property in Cartagena for a few days, which is located at Plaza Ferdinand Madrid. The house rules do not address guests so I decided it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Good luck with that budget price at this time of year

Thanks a lot!
There are no Airbnb that I know of at this time of year at such a low price point. $65 a night is laughable when its approaching Thanksgiving / Christmas holidays, as they are expecting many US gringos to fly down for those days which is why the price is higher.
You cannot expect to walk into Ruth Chris and pay McDonalds money. At this timeframe, you will have to triple that $65 a night. Or even if you pay under $100 a night you will have to pay Management / Security up to 50 mil per chica you bring in. Let me repeat that, per chica! You do not want to be paying the chica then paying security every time you want to bust one off, it will get annoying real fast.
Adjust your budget, and rethink your CTG trip.
Is hot water important?
Is location important?
Is the view important?
Are you willing to pay taxi every night night to and from Centro if you are staying outside of Centro? Keep in mind, centro is where all the good girls are at night.
If you're the type to shit your pants every time you see your shadow, do you want security for your apartment?
How much chicas you plan on seeing?
All this go into your planning before you get on the plane because once you arrive, you are stuck there until you depart.

Is it a good location?
