Macaé
Situated on the coast about 3 hours drive east from Rio this is Brazil’s main offshore oil and gas support centre. To me it still has the feel of a small interior town despite its growing population which is currently around 150,000. Oil fields traditionally draw prostitutes and here is no exception with many arriving in the town particularly from Vitória in the state of Espírito Santo. There are also many non-pro and semi-pro local women looking for foreign boyfriends amongst the resident and temporary expatriate community.
I spent a lot of time here during 2002 and 2003 and the main meeting places for pros in the Cavaleiros beach area were Willy’s Bar near the restaurant Ilhote Sul and later on at night the karaoke bar near the restaurant Albatroz. The dance held at AABB, further down Cavaleiros beach towards the port, on Wednesday nights also attracts working girls and there are usually one or two in the Hotel Du Lac’s bar, near the lagoon. In the centre of town near the bridge over the river Macaé is Barbie Show with strippers but more suitable for the local Brazilian oilfield workers. The Panorama Hotel’s bar / restaurant near the port also has pros although I certainly wasn’t impressed by their beauty.
There is a brothel on the way to Rio das Ostras, the neighbouring town which I never had the occasion or inclination to visit having my hands full with a number of different girlfriends. I wasn’t that impressed by the few pros I sampled which may have been my own fault for over indulging on caipirinhas or wine beforehand! One semi-pro however was absolutely outstanding with her lying on the bed masturbating her clit furiously as I came over her face. I have a fine collection of photos of her both in action and doing model poses once dressed again but I only post photo shoots with a women’s permission and these must therefore remain private at her request.
I usually had an apartment there so didn’t have much experience with hotels charging for guests, however whilst staying at the Hotel du Lac on an earlier visit they charged an extra fee for an overnight visitor. I tend to use motels rather than taking a girl back to my room however these are generally very poor quality in this town. Motel Tropical is probably the best one near to Cavaleiros beach and has a few so called luxury but expensive suites with jacuzi, terrace, sofa and mirrors. There is no mini-bar so you have to call for food, drinks etc. The standard rooms are much cheaper but overall this is nothing like the standard of motel room you get in Rio. I’m told that there is now a much better motel in Rio das Ostras but have yet to try it.
Can’t say that there’s a lot of reason to go to Macaé just for women but if you happen to be on a visit or be employed there then you are certainly not going to go short of sex. The local population is very pleasant indeed and you can make some real friendships there. I always look forward to an excuse to catch up with old and new girlfriends in the town.

Rio Branco.
The capital of Acre is a small city in the west of Brazil. The city is unattractive, poor and has few sights to offer. People here find it hard to understand that a gringo comes all the way to o fim do mundo.
The girls are mostly darkskinned with some indian blood. There are many extremely beautiful girls to be found. Slim, round-assed girls with beautiful faces.
However the majority of the girls are short, overweighted with rough and ugly faces. Seems like the girls are either topgrade or bottomgrade.
PRO´S
There are only two stripclubs/brothels. None of them really good.
- Momentus: Fazenda-like style. A dozen girls working. Standard was not very good. 70 reais for the girl and 35 reais for the room. You pay and they strip.
- Bereu: Traditionell stripclub. Same standard as Momentus.
In the center of Rio Branco there is a big mercado close to the river. A mixture of stalls, shops and bars. Head to the bars closest to the river and you´ll find many sleazy bars with pro´s. The majority of the girls are unattractive with scars and filthy clothes. However there are some gems to be found. Pay 15 reais and head down in the cellar of the bar for one hour of fun. Bar do Pato has some cute girls working.
Streetworkers can be found nighttime spread out in the center.
Many of the taxidrivers offers to bring some girls to your hotel to choose from. Could be worth checking out.
NON-PRO´S
Picking up a non-pro is extremely easy in Rio Branco. They´ll pick you up. The nightlife is great! Here is a selection of party-places:
- 14bis/X43/Hangar57 (thursday, friday, saturday): Three discoteques in one place. Live music. Forró and dance. Loads of beautiful willingly women.
- Mamao Café (saturday): Forró. In front of 14 bis.
- Lua Azul (fridays): Live music, forró. One of the places you can´t miss to get laid.
- Boate Summer (fridays): The citys most fancy discoteque. Frequented by the rich and beautiful.
- Flutuante (sundays): A riverboat that works as a restaurant and discoteque. Forró. Absolutely wild and crazy. The women will attack you. Also some pro´s working there.
- Chalé (saturday and sunday): A club that looks like a big farm. Dominated by a small lake surrounded by bars and a area for dancing, live music forró. People come here at noon and party until nighttime. Swim in the lake, eat, get drunk, dance and get laid. There is a motel next to the club. Chalé is frequented mainly by the lower class. Great fun.
Hotels: Many hotels are to be found in the center. I stayed at Hotel Trianguló, 30 reais for a decent room.
Motels: several motels in the outskirts of town.
You can get here by plane, bus (8 hours from Porto Velho) or riverboat (arrives at a small city outside Rio Branco).
I can´t see that Rio Branco is a dangerous city. The people are very friendly and the girls are very willingly.
Rio Branco is worth a visit if you like darkskinned girls with indian features. The pro scene is not good. However the nightlife is excellent and the non-pro´s are very easy to pick up.

Unfortunately the Estado Acre & Cidade Rio Branco are so far away - that I may never get there.

Porto Velho.
Capital of Rondonia. A small but quite pleasant city next to the Rio Madeira. The center has som nice praças where you can have a good meal and cold beers enjoying the sight of women passing by. The sights are very few, Estrada de Ferro Madeira-Mamoré (Death-Railway) and a rivertrip that´s totally boring.
I liked Porto Velho from the moment I arrived. The reason could be that the taxidriver at the airport was a very cute girl in her early twenties dressed in a very short skirt. The drive to the hotel was very pleasant (the skirt up at her waist). Spent some good time with this lady.
The girls in Porto Velho are very much like the girls in Rio Branco.
Quite a few beautiful, slim and roundassed girls. But unfortunately the majority of the girls are built like the bulldozers used to cut down the rainforest, short, heavy with big bellies.
PRO´S
There are two main stripclubs.
- Strip Sex Show: Girls stripping on a catwalk or doing tabledancing (20 reais). 20 girls working, overall standard good, with some really beautiful girls. Motel next by, 10 reais (1 hour). The girls ask for 50 reais but are easily bargained down to 30 reais. Might take them back to your hotel. If you´re lucky she stays all night.
- Fly Club: Very similar establishment, but with less girls stripping. Also tabledance available (20 reais). About 25 girls working. The standard is similar to Strip Sex Show, as many of the girls start the evening at Fly Club before they go to S S S, which closes later (2 AM). Fly Club has some small rooms at the back, 12 reais (1 hour). The girls charge from 30 reais.
Both establisments are definitely worth a visit. Lots of nice girls and very cheap.
There are supposed to be 5 brothels working only daytime. The taxidrivers are very updated on the brothels. I only visited the largest one.
- Casa da Maria Eunice: A green house (without signs) on Rua Dom Pedro just after Hotel Central. The brothel is named after the nasty old witch who runs the place. A bar and about 15 rooms around a courtyard. The rooms are OK, but very hot. Up to 30 girls working. Lots of worned out ladies but also some goodlooking cuties. Charge 50 reais for the girls and 10 reais for the room (1 hour).
Close to the port you will find some streets with some very sleazy bars. The area looks very unhealthy and so does the pro´s working at the bars.
The old railwaysstation is a main touristpoint with several outside bars. There are several pro´s to be found. Most of them looking very bored waiting for customers to show up.
The streetworkers are to be found close to the Batalhão (between Mirante 1 and Mirante 2) and at Praça Marechal Rondon. Few of them and quite ugly.
The best options for finding good-looking pro´s are at the strip-clubs and the brothels. Don´t bother with the girls hanging at the bars or working the streets.
NON-PRO´S
- Praça Marechal Rondon: Several outside bars with live music. Lots of cute girls flirting eager to make friendship with a gringo.
- Mirante 2 (tuesdays): Big party at the outside bars. Live music, forró. The streets crowded with cute girls. Even some pro´s among the crowd.
- Nautilus, Ipiranga and Peixe Beer are three discotheques. Forró and pagode. As I´m not spending a week-end in Porto Velho I can´t tell wether they are good or not. Anyway they are the best options for dancing in Porto Velho. If it´s similar to Rio Branco it shouldn´t be difficult picking up a non-pro. "Unfortunately" I´m stuck with my taxi-driver. ;)
Hotels: Lots of options in the center. I stayed at Vitoria Palace Hotel, 35 reais for a nice room (10 reais more for visits).
To me Porto Velho seemed very calm and safe, but I heard there ocurred lots of robberies so take some precaution.
Porto Velho is a pleasant city with lots of flirting women. The pro scene is good. It´s definitely worth a visit if you are passing by. I would have stayed longer if I didn´t feel the strong urge to go on to Manaus. I hear Remulus calling my name...

Sorry guys for bothering you again with my Buzios questions, but how is the scene there (if there is any)? are there several specific places like bars, clubs, restaurants where those freelancers work or is there no "infrastructure" at all? is april a good season for hunting there or should i bring my girl with me? what about Paraty? anyone knowing the scene there?

I am planning my second trip to Brazil, I am flying to Rio where I plan to meet up with a girl I met on my first trip. We have been keeping in touch by phone and email, our plan is to take the Normandy Bus south to Ilhabela where we will spend 4 days and then it will be back to Rio for 6 more days. i have been there twice.
first time december 2002 on a saturday evening for dinner out of cabo frio.
the place was full of tourist and nice brazilian people.
lots of non pro garotas most of them accompanied.
the action takes place in the rua das petras. (stone street).
lots of nice restaurants, bars, shops etc. it reminds me of myconos island in greece.
there is a spot in the middle of rua das petras with live music a large bar and tables both inside and outside. cannot miss it.
we spotted a pro there from rio. my brazilian friend called her and asked her if there were some more.
you see we were three guys.
she said she had some friends around and she was willing to go and call them for us to check.
asking price r300. being an average 5 she was not worth the price. so we gave up the idea.
after all we were staying at cabo frio.
second time was this year just after carnival.
it was very hard to find rooms in a possada. we tried several before we managed to get ourselves rooms although it was a tuesday.
the place is called colonna beach hotel. up on the hill of praia de joao fernantes.
published rate r480. we paid r250 up front in cash for double rooms with breakfast.
if someone wants a nice view must stay at that beach.
in the other praia’s the possadas are next to the beach.
the action was very slow. it seems that buzios is mainly a weekend destination for cariocas.
we saw lots of argentinean tourists.
i did spot a few pros. but we were escorted.
the selection thought was minimal.
did not see any boites termas etc. forget them while in buzios.
after a couple of days we sent our gfe back to rio on a bus and we drove north to vittoria and porto seguro to check them out.
if you are driving be aware of the many bums on the streets. most of them are not marked.
also watch out for the speed limit, we managed to get our selves two tickets for speeding on the way out of buzios.

the first one we were doing 62kms/h and the second one 69km/h when the speed limit was 50.

it seems that the traffic police don’t like 69.

At norhead,
I have been to Paraty twice, once in November, the other time off season in August. Both times I was there with my girlfriend, so I didn't want (and really didn't need!) to go hunting for any action. For this reason, I didn't care too much about the market there, but I am afraid even if I did there wouldn't have been too much to find. Might have been different if you know some locals to guide you. IMHO, you'd be better off to bring you lady!
But Paraty is definitely a great place to stay for a vacation. And I do strongly recommend to go to the great beaches of Trindade, a tiny village you can reach by bus (5R) in some 40 minutes.
