One thing is for sure ,

When i went in Dr. last month i was at BB and i found the place soso but the fact of having grisl on location was great . I didint stay long enough (2 days at BB) and it was my 1st time soi cant say if i would repeat a 3rd time but i will go back a second for sure .

As far as FOD it's a really nice place and Billy is a verry nice guy . I passed by with a friend from the US . Billy showed us the place . Since i liked Mangou club waht i liked about FOD is that they are verry close by .

Billy talked to me about changes at FOD but didnt get into any details if he was selling the property or renting the place out .

I want to check out FOD and a some other spots but I love BB's sooo much! The love there is unbelievable. Everytime I go it's a couple new chicas I have to get and if I don't get them then, it just gives me a reason to go back.

I just returned from Costambar Monday April 30th and just got another ticket for Noviembre.

I think I'll post my report from last week now that I think about it.

Billy is out, Lino and his partners are in. They purchased the hotel, and also all the land in front from another party for expansion. The difference is, Lino and his partner are born dominicans. Blackbeards cannot get away with what Lino can. Having the balls to open this establishment across from Playa Dorada is amazing in itself. Although this location is quite "far out", it is , in my opinion, close enough to attract the sosua monger (one who rents a car anyway).

I totally agree, Different strokes for different folks. But when you are dealing with room rates, they are typically higher in a more convienent area. I, for one, hope that more and more mongers discover and fall in love with Blackbeards. That way I can take a little bit longer nap at night before going out, and more girls will be available!!

Billy and Chris will not be around at FOD anymore by that time. Perhaps, I'll bump into you, I'll be around from June 13th-17th but will mainly be based out of Sosua for this trip.

About three weeks ago I'm having lunch with my chica (from BBs) at a side- walk cafe on the Malecon in Puerto Plata. The owner of the restaurant, an American expat, comes out and sits with us. He is talking with me and check- ing out my girl. " You're a lucky man", he says, "where are you going to find a girl like this back in the states unless you have a lot of money. " In some ways he was right, I don't have a lot of money and I don't usually hangout with 20 something women back home.

Actually on this day I wasn't feeling so good about my chica. She was a fine looking one but I had been with her too long. This was about the fifth day we were together and she was getting to be a pain in the culo. The first three days with her were great, one day we went to her apartment and she fixed dinner. And she helped me fulfill some of my sexual fantasies like my Miami Vice Saundra Santiago fantasy and talk to me in Spanish while I'm banging you fantasy.

But I think it's true with most of these chicas what some of you have said here. After three days they start to act more like a wife and less like a novia. So don't keep one more than three days. This was my first mongering trip and my first time with any woman other than the wife in quite a few years so I got a little crazy. But all things considered I had a great time. I enjoyed staying at BBs and I explored Puerto Plata and some of the countryside. Since I like to move around I spent too much money on cabfare so next trip-probably not until October- I plan to rent a car.

A little advice for other married mongers- first, check your bags carefully before you return home, make sure there aren't any condoms, phone numbers or other incriminating evidence in there. Second, either wash your clothes or sprinkle some rum on them before you get home, women can smell the chicas on your clothes. Third, always delete from your computer's history visits to this webpage or to the BB site.

What you said is 100% a rookie mistake is to stay woth the same girl (fear of not finding someone else/getting pushed into it .... i dont know) . When i was a BB in april it happened to me . Damn the girl jumped on my ride to bring a friend to the airport and me in Cabarete . When we arrived in Cabarete she was talking on her cell phone like she was Ivanka Trump . When it was time for my driver to leave and go back to POP i told her you must leave . They will not let you in my Condo (even if they did when i checked in) . I told her goodbye . Ill Email you !

Guy's no bullshitt i had so many 829 and 809 numbers , maps , buisness cards . Danm i even had the throw away camera from this other guy . Im ok i dont live with my girl . But had she been arround . I would be on the next flight back to Puerto Plata (one way) for that golf tournament i told her i was going to !

Yes JJ that can quickly become no fun. I was lured by my chica into my novia begins to act like a wife situation. I try to treat everyone fairly and I was giving her the benefit of the doubt until she began trying to dig too deeply into my wallet. That is where I have to "draw the line". I can take a lot of abuse but when my money is at risk I can cut through the BS. I think I've learned some lessons from my first trip that will help me to enjoy my next trip more.

I was there from 20-28 April. Were you there at the same time?

Hey Leftcoaster and John Jr., you guys would complain “If your were hung with a new rope.” The reason I like Blackbeards so much is that you CAN have more of a GFE there. Go to the Del Ray in Costa Rica and for one hundred US dollars they will “wham bam thank you mamm” one shot, and they are off to the next trick.

Leftcoaster “she tried to dig to deeply into your wallet” Do you mean that she tried to steel from you or do you mean that she wanted you to spend money on her? i.e give her money for the salon, phone cards, ext. Try to have a real girlfriend in the States that does not try to get into your wallet for much more money than that. And the real girlfriend in the States will not be 20 years old with a hard body and soft skin. If she was a BB girl and actually was trying to steel from you should have told David or Charo. They will bounce her. I have been to BB’s 6 or 7 times and never have had that kind of problem.

You can have the best GFE in Thailand in my opinion, but Thailand is on the other side of the earth. The flight is brutal. 30 plus hours of travel time. So for my money Blackbeards is the most fun you can have in the western hemisphere and you guys are complaining

No LS I'm not really complaining about BBs or the chica scene in the DR. I
know that any problems I had were my responsibility. So maybe I am bitching
a little much about this. Anyway my point is that some of the chicas can get a liitle too manipulative if you keep them too long, i.e. more than three days.
Yeah I know it's a good scene at BBs and elsewhere in the DR. I agree that it probably is the best option for mongering. I thought about Thailand too but like you said," Thailand is on the other side of the earth", especially if you're on the east coast like I am now.

The truth is I had a blast at BBs not only with the chicas but I enjoyed the camaraderie with fellow mongers. I just don't want too many people to know, I don't want to see the place get overrun. So if someone asks me, other than you guys, I'll say "yeah it was ok" and leave it at that.

I am going to BB 5/29 - 5/31 and was looking to see who else might be there.
I am not new to the hobby, but new to the hobby in DR. I have hobbied all over the world Latin America included and have been on this board since '92 and the Atta days. I have had to limit posting and change names to keep things under cover if you know what I mean). I understand the BB's is for the "spoon feed" monger and I am OK with that for this visit but would like to get out and about to Sosua and PoP with someone that knows there way around. If I can't hook up with someone that's ok too. I am used to going it alone in and out of the USA.
