In Manila now.
1. Due to high season. Taxi's are very very hard to find. Sometimes it takes close to 40 minutes to find one and if you get lucky, its Plus 50 usually. Taxi drivers in Manila are still A*holes as they were before but gotten more due to X'mas. Use Caution. I mean they can really ruin your night out.
1A) From Airport, yellow Taxis are using Dual Meters, one for locals who know they use it, one for tourist. Sit in front, notice the Meter, If the Meter touches 100 Pesos from 70 even before exiting Airport Area. Call Him on it. And tell him you will complain. He will usually say. Ohh sir, sorry forgot BS and then readjust it with correct meter. Or better go to Departure gate from stairs and get the white taxi but still use the above caution.
2A) The taxi guys are still having 7-8 kids, wife working in Middle East, haven't seen wife for years, have mistress on the side, more babies. One taxi guy came from Province just for the X'Mas Season to make a killing. Has 7-8 kids back home. You can imagine the desperation.
If you can. Don't come NOW. Its madness in Manila. Traffic is very very heavy. And everyone is buying car on credit. Traffic is crazy.
Come After X'mas, January or Skip Manila. Go to A / see or other places.
2. Hotels are available but in some places. Prices have gone up. But you will find rooms. Book before you come. Due to X'mas the entire OFW is in Philippines
3. Manila is slowly becoming like Bangkok. KL. Things are becoming expensive with less on offer. MERALCO raised This month charges to 3. 44 kw / h. The highest increase ever. So make sure, you ask about the power rate before you check in to your condo or hotel. They will even though charge it in parts. The hotels, condo owners just giving excuses to increase the power rates now.
I searched many condos for long term stay through Sulit. They are all small rat holes with 20 to 25K per month. Even in BGC and Makati. If you are a big guy above 6. Don't book it through online. I'm afraid you won't be able to fit yourself in the bathroom. They are made Filipino size. I had known this before but wanted to check new condos being built all around. They are all for Midgets. Even midgets will find it offensive.
Now. To the good stuff.
Girls. Its plenty on offer. You can even get laid for free. Its all about luck, right timings. But the free girls are hard to let go off as they consider you as your own. I tried the craigslist option, Havana Cafe, DIA, Cupid. The quality is more or less same. Price 1000 to 2000 or just food and red horse. Taxi fare.
I saw many farangs in palladium, Green belt. Getting hit upon left and right but the guys getting wasted on endless drinks, some had to be carried on by security and put up near taxi stand. They seems to be going through lots of issues. They are here just to be here. Not really after girls. I mean I saw girls literally pulling one guy to take them and yet like some Hollywood celebrities, the guys being in their own zone and letting the girls go.
Unless you want to F*ck 24/7 don't come here. For girls. Sex is like tissue paper they wipe off from their faces. NO BIG DEAL.
Don't make a mistake thinking after sex, you will have something ELSE to do to find your inner-self, spirituality, your new life. Forget it.
I feel there is only one thing that is working for all of us here. SEX. Everything else is working against us
What building is that in? I'm stuck near Green Bay in a blizzard and trying to remember that trip around the corner. Cardinal Sin Gym?

Taxi ripping you 30 pesos ruins your day while you can get free pussy!
I think those farangs are getting wasted and crying over their drinks about the taxis. Meanwhile missing out on free pussy. Pretty ironic that security would throw them back to the curb and let the taxis have another go at them!
Hotels rip you at $50 a night instead of $40 and you can't get a hardon for free pussy!
Good advice. Don't come here.

If walking from Insomnia to Adriatico turn right and walk 30 metres or so. It's a massive (white or light grey?) building on the right side of the street.

Have to agree that it's getting tough. I usually leave my place in Makati at 11pm or so to go out and for the past 2 weeks it's been a 20-minute minute wait on Buendia. I rarely have any hassles with drivers.

The increase will happen over 3 months for a total of more than 4 pesos kw/h. I consume approx 500 kw per month so it's an extra 2000p out of my pocket. This cost will certainly be passed on to consumers. MERALCO states the hike is temporary and I believe this to be the case. However I doubt everyone will re-adjust their prices down once the electricity rates return to normal.

Swimming pool, washing machine, good-sized bathroom. Only complaint is an electric hob and no oven. New neighbours are a bit too noisy.
I feel there is only one thing that is working for all of us here. SEX. Everything else is working against us
I was in Manila last week and got fleeced 500 p from Pasay to Malate. All drivers insisted it was 500 at 5 am. One fellow said 480 and when we reached and I gave 500, of course he didn't have 20 p change. Wasn't in mood to fight. It is happy hour come Christmas season. Every year its the time to fleece foreigners and OFWs on home visit.
BTW, if you ever pass by SG a beer is on me. Good write up.

I'll check it out when I go to Manila in January and post my opinion for other potential visitors.
Anyone have a restaurant recommendation for a great feast on Christmas? Prefer to keep it under p3500 per person.
I feel there is only one thing that is working for all of us here. SEX. Everything else is working against us
This should be posted in the Hall of Fame as an ISG Quote of the Year!
So I spent my first Saturday at Plan B. They have a ton of girls there. I counted 62! All of them are girls and many hot tight bodies. I hate the deal where the ugly ones gang up on you when you come in but I guess you got to deal with it. I try to say nicely I am not interested but they do persist. After I go rid of them- no massage- no drink bla bla bla. I picked a tiny little tight bodied girl. She was about 4' 10 or so I guess. Super small waist and nice looking, she says she was 18.
Paid the bar fine- which was not to bad I though at P2,600. Got here back to the room and we had a great time. Everything but Anal, no condom. I have to say I liked Plan B on P. Burgos. It had better looking girls then a lot of the places and the bar fine was the cheapest I found. The girls have really tight bodies with only a few chubby ones.
Next I think I will try Manila cafe to see how it goes. I will post me findings.
Does all Filipino food pretty much suck? Some of it might taste OK, but holly crap is it bad for you. The restaurants here are great with really good foods, but the Filipino joints and the stuff on the street is pretty bad.
Is there anything that can be recommended to try? Anything that is kind of healthy and not full of sugar, carbs, fat and grease?
Anyone have a restaurant recommendation for a great feast on Christmas? Prefer to keep it under p3500 per person.
The Mandarin's Tivoli is offering a Christmas Day Lunch for PHP 1,740 and Dinner for PHP 2,600. Main course appears to be traditional roasted turkey. Also, they are offering a Christmas Day Gourmet Lunch and Dinner Buffet at PHP 1,980 with both Western and Oriental specialties: turkey, beef rib eye, shawarma, and pasta stations. They even have a more Oriental Christmas celebration in Tin Hau. For reservations, call 750-8888 ext 2411/2412.
Does all Filipino food pretty much suck?
Any of the vegetable dishes are healthy, and can be very good. Check out pinakbet for example. There are some very nice soups, like sinigang. Generally the simplest foods are the best, like grilled fish with vegetables and garlic rice. The trick is in finding restaurants that actually care about the quality of their food. They do exist.
