I think Brazil (and Germany, and the Economist) has a better culture in terms of acceptance of sex workers. They see sex workers like a doctor or a fitness instructor. No one would be embarrassed or uncomfortable to be out with a doctor or a fitness instructor, quite the contrary. Yet a sex worker in Brazil gives much the same benefit. A good work out, physical and other well being.

I think the Brazilian guys who see a guy out with a escort are basically thinking, I'd like to be that guy. I'd like to afford it. I'd like to bang a hot girl when I want to, etc.

I think that this is a better way to look at these women, with some respect.

And just practically speaking:

I don't have to pay for sex. I can get all I want, but I don't want my particular social class.

I don't have to pay for sex in Brazil. I've had non pros, a doctor, a lawyer. But the sex with some of the pros is better, and simpler, and more direct, and fun.

I may get lucky with a girl from the gym from time to time, but I am not going to do both my spinning instructor and my yoga instructor at the same time, like the duplas out at XYZen. And I am sure not going to get the top RJ GDP as I have from time to time over the past few years. I used to think like this, but I find it is not helpful, either to me or the GDPs.

On health reasons alone (exercise, weight loss, health consciousness) , mongering is worth a whole lotta do re mi in medical expenses and improved quality of life.
