I use to feel the same way but the trend is alarming. I have seen prices double in baht terms and more with the dollar dropping over the past 5 years. It's not hard to imagine that some day Thailand will go the way of Korea and Japan and will get priced out of the range of many of us. And after Thailand there really isn't anywhere else worth hanging your hat. Also,"awful job" is a relative term. Compared to what they would do otherwise. Work 12 hours in a 7-11 for 3000 baht a month, work in a factory doing the same repetitive thing for 12 hours. 28 days a month for 5000 baht or working on a farm planting and cutting rice? These girls make more money than Professors, cops (not including bribes of course) , govt officials and probably 99% of Thais. Of course they spend it just as fast!

Excellent!

Pattaya isn't that much cheaper. It's between 600 to 1000 bar fine plus 1500 to 2000 tip for short time.

Note that these comments are for the better decent go-go bars in Thailand (we're not in the US or Europe; yes it is lot more expensive in the US; $70 for 2 or 3 hours compared to $150-200 for half an hour).

Ya there are 500 baht SW on beach road, but I agree with that other post; it's laughable when people say there are stunners there. But one man's pig is another man's lovely. To each his own.

Ironically, in the daylight of Beach Road, what you see is what you get, unlike a darkly lit Go-Go Bar or hostess club. And no overpriced lady drinks to keep a mamasan's breath out of your face.

A little sun, a little ocean air, a little sand in your toes. Add a little pussy and you have the makings of a good time, for not a lot of baht.

[/QUOTE]The girls in the picture you posted were decent. Takes time to fine those type of girls on beach road. They probably will want at least 700 baht? Still cheap though. On my personal scale, they would be a 6; maybe a 5 because they are older; probably moms.

I prefer 7s. There are usually no absolute stunners in normal bars of Pattaya IMO. Why would a Heidi Fleiss type of girl do it for 2000 baht when they can get a lot more in the special places of Bangkok.

It's a lot more money (2700 compared to 700) for a small jump in quality. But that's like every capital good (such as food, alcohol and weed). But you only live once.

Can anyone suggest a decent, clean and reasonably priced ST roon around the Grace Hotel area? I want to give one of those 'stans a whirl but don't really to bring her back to my hotel.

PS In those places, you will most likely meet girls in the 28-32 year old range

Largely CIS girls, some Thai and a small sprinkling of African girls. Headed to BKK next week, but I don't need to go to CM2 for my CIS fix anymore.

In fact, I find that most of the BKK gogo girls go for cheaper than their counterparts in Pattaya.

The gogo scene in Pattaya is probably the worst deal in all of Pattaya. The freelance / beer bar scene is infinitely better in Pattaya, however.
