SOL is the only reason to go to PP these days I think. Although I want to try out Mike's bar too one day. Any dissenting views or was this just a bad day at the office for PP?

In the last year or so the quality has dropped considerably. The time and effort required to find these "diamonds in the rough" is barely worth it, unless you enjoy spending most of your time in Pattaya and enjoy the city and beach. The cuter ones tend to aim high like 600-700b also.

The reason you don't see many of the young cute ones is because the supply is so low and if they are there they have already been grabbed. You're not the only one looking for the cute ones! Competition for good pussy (sexy 18-20yo) in Pattaya during the high season is fierce.

The disco freelance scene, however, is great, much better than Bangkok. And even some of the Soi 6 girls will give you a great time compared to the gogo girls.

In Bangkok the gogo girls are often pretty good and not too expensive, aside from a few overly popular places like Baccara, which are more like Pattaya in that they're only good for looking, not touching.

You are correct about Patpong. It has lost its No. 1 spot some years ago,

I have stayed in the Suriwong Road, area, very near Patpong, for probably 20 years or so and on each of my visits it seems to have got worse!

A few examples.

When I first started to travel to BKK there were, at least. 15 or 20 'Naughty Upstairs Bars. ' Now there is just ONE that is not a rip of!

Anyone remember Touch Bar (Formerly Cleopatra) next to the Thai Boxing on the South side of Patpong 1 near Suriwong Road End. I think that it was the first 'upstairs bar' that I visited on my very first trip to BKK many years ago. Although quite small it was one of my favorites. I must admit I shed a tear or two when it closed. I think that the old manager still works in Patpong 1 at Pussy Galore.

Tip Top was then open 24/7 and you could find many dancers, who had earned good money that night, eating, with friends, after the bars closed. Rather good for a late night pick up if you had not met anyone earlier who 'Tickled your Fancy. ' And, without any bar fine or lady drinks!

During the afternoon KFC at the Suriwong Road end was great for freelancers. There always seemed to be one or two attractive young girls, with a few hours to spare looking for company. I have fond memories of one deaf and dumb girl I found there. We communicated in sign language and by using a notebook and after half an hour or so agreed that we 'might be more comfortable' watching TV at my nearby hotel. She was rather shy to start with and wanted me to turn of all the lights in my room until I explained to her that if it was completely dark we would 'not be able to talk! '

Also, in those days, many of the dancers at the bars seemed to arrive for work very early and could often be found hanging around waiting for 'their bar' to open. Quite easy to fix up something with them for then or later (and see them in the light!)

Thai Room, on Patpong 2 always offered some good choices of food (and, I think, was also open 24/7.) Although it is still open it is now just a shadow of it's former self.

Oh. The good old days! Perhaps it's time for an 'old farrang' to move to pastures new but I still have a certain affection for the area.

I was expecting a lot higher talent in Q-Bar. 700 baht entrance so you get 2 drinks though so not too bad. Really nothing stunning in there. Solid 8s but nothing jumped out at me. I spent considerable time at SuperStar over the summer and found it acceptable. The music is classic rock circa 70's and 80's (so you can flashback to what it was like when you were in college as you pick-up on college-age cuties!)

The pressure to barfine is a lot less than what you find in Nana, though you will get worked a little. There is a service girl there named "Lek" who doesn't go with customers, but will keep the girls away from you, translate English-Thai when needed (moderate skill) and is generally a pleasant person.

The girls range from 5's to 9's. Aged 18-30. A few immediately appearant post-op LBs.

Earlier is better, late-night can have limited options (which is true for all of Patpong. Go before 10pm).

As for the rest of Patpong, I found the bars packed with girls early in the night, something for everyone. Later it thins out, so someone is getting laid.
