I was looking for a serviced turnkey apt that I could get mth to mth, not long term thailand has many of threse but sadly due to th vast number of moron white men throwing money at thai chix tland has priced itself out of my budget anyway

Th last I was in cebu I couldnt find one of these kinds of apts and since I wont be taying there more than 2/3 mths/yr total its not worth it for me to get a regular unfurnished apt

Guess thats y th girls are so good in th pi, bc th quality of life is so bad there

In Cebu no matter if the girl is from bar or street or a friend ! they all want the same thing ! to find foriegner who will take them as a wife ! Thailand mainly want money !!
So the price of what you pay the girl does vary, because its up to you as a person ! Do you give money to any charioty at home ?
I have give 5000 peso to a family who's daughter worked in a shop that i use to go to, their home burnt down ! thay wanted to know if i wanted to date their daughter i said no the money was a gift toi help them on their new shanty !

In tland there is vast double pricing, falangs paying often 10x what th thai pays-- you think thats ok too? they rationalize it by saying th falang has more money. Rich thais have 1000s of times more money than I, should they pay 1000s of times th rate? your thinking is deeply flawed. Try having a double pricing structure in a western cuntry, you would be sued or go to jail!

Porty is right. It's not about having a bleeding heart my friend. It's about caring about the countries and people that we visit on our whoring trips. Can I turn a blind eye to those bare foot children with no teeth and dirty hands as they beg me for a handout? Not if I can afford it. Your cynicism is shared by few people on this board. I'd like to think the majority of us contribute something to those third world countries we ply our trade in, even if it's a few handouts. After all, that small handout might mean the difference between a family eating something, or starving.

Not sure if they need it still but I was in Cebu when the Leyte mudslide happened. I offered to go help with relief work but they told me it was impossible to get there. They said if I wanted to help, I should give: not money but food and clothes. I spent about 50$ at the Ayala Mall on water, ramen, unrefrigerated milk, sandals, tee shirts, etc. I can make that in an hour or two where I work now and like Yella said, it's a way to give back to the countries I like to visit. If you are in Cebu, go to an info desk or the mall office on the 3rd floor and ask if they need help.

There are lots of ways to help people in the countries you visit without "inflating the economy" or driving up prices for service rendered. Call me a bleeding heart but I'm having the time of my life in Asia and I have nor regrets about giving a little back.

I live my life with one rule !! What goes around comes around !
To say i am lucky is understatement ! So many good things happen in my trips! When i shop at the local markets and the little children beg , as i am the only foriegner there. I just give them fruit as that way i know they have something to eat !

They must realise that you are tight ! I usally get 50% of hotel rate and food well I pay local rates ! because where i eat they know me and treat me ant one else !
I mean really where can you get a 5 star resort for $50 a night with breakfast inc in your country ! Here in australia your looking at $200 a night for the same !
For a 3 star hotel in mactan i have paid $15 a night with breakfast! when the normal rate is $60. The reason why was simple I did bring lamb skin car seat covers for the manager, who is now after 2 years one of my best friends and i am god father of his first child! So if i was to use your thinking, i am stupid for buying the gift ! even though i saved 35$ a night for 2 months !
If you feel you are always getting charged more than locals !! start to think why, go deeper than I am a foriegner ! Change your attitude and you might find a change in their's ! In thailand i always did get my friends to hire motor bikes etc for me so there are ways around the double standard ! which does occur here in australia too! Just ask any visiting USA sailor especially in the clubs and taix's and bars and take out food joints !
Open your mind and your wallet you will end up feeling better than you do NOW !

As probably the Oldest Cebu veteran here,Lets try to put this in perspective,I personally know several of the people Porty does business with.He is generous,But What he gives He gets back many times in return,He gives a Hotel manager Lambskin seat covers and in exchange,He pays a very good rate,About 70% off which he has recovered the lambskin cover many times over.That manager used to be one of my employees.His apartment he is paying the local rate,Because He is a generally Good guy,They helped him get local price for his place,About exploiting the girl and asking if he cared about her,He married her didnt he???I dont think you can judge a guy unless you know him.He is not a fool,If you see the deals he has been getting on furniture,rates on girls at the KTV s amd MP s,He is paying local rates.He married a Cebu girl,has a place in Cebu and has some fairly ok friends here.No he is defenitely not a fool here in Cebu.He is considered by many people here as a good guy

If you have a nice place with a maid and cook, and if you have an extra room in your house, apt. or condo that I can lease for several months I would really appreciate it. I want to come to the Phillipines from the states for a nice change. I am a bachelor and like that Filipino women are beautiful, plentiful, and aim to please.
