History of mongering in Shanghai?
I've been going to Shanghai off and on for the past 8 years. The Mongering scene in Shanghai has already changed a lot in that short time span (mostly downhill).
Eight years back, the girls in Manhattan were a healthy mix of nationalities, with many girls from the PI. Up until just last year, there was a great sauna scene in ShanghI, although prices were going up 10% every year. Up to just last year, happy ending MPs were plentiful and everywhere. Going 5 years back there were also many BBS. About two years ago there was even a vibrant dancehall scene in Shanghai.
But some people say that the scene in Shanghsi was even better 10+ and 20+ years ago. If any of readers lived through that, it would be great in you could send a detailed history of that era. Would be a very interesting read. Anyone up to the challenge?
Jing An area, sad report. Hidden MP in Putuo
In my walk the other night, I went by the old Buddha and 851 Shanxia locations. Buddha is completely gone, 851 is still there but glass doors locked from the inside with heavy curtains so I could not see if the inside had been damaged. Other places on Changping Lu also closed with lights off.
On a brighter note, after my long walk I decided to stop by an old place near Jinshiajiang Lu for just a foot massage. As I got into view, I was concerned because all the outside signs was gone. But, the door was open with light inside so I walked in. The girls were quite surprised to see a laowai but they took me to a room and sent in a tall girl with real cleavage and a short dress with stockings, who spoke zero English. Definitely the hottest girl in the place (body 8, face 6). With hand signals, convinced her I wanted foot massage.
A couple minutes later, my feet in hot water bucket with some salts, she sat spread wide with the stockings barely hiding her meimei. Foot massage began high up on my inner thigh. Within about 10 seconds she grabbed my didi and offered FS for 268. I was so tired and in need of foot massage, I resisted. I tried to ask how much for just BJ but she didn't understand and kept motioning to her mouth and meimei for 268. Had she dropped those stockings, she probably would have tipped me to the FS. An hour of relaxing and foot massage, I was ready to walk the rest of the way back to my hotel.
Didn't get her name or number. I did try to indicate I will return for the full treatment another day.

Spring spa in Pudong Street.
Hi,
Last month I was in SH, century Park zone.
Reading about Spring spa, I decided to go to the closest one, in Pudong Street.
I paid the 338 rmb massage version.
Very nice place, beautiful girl. But.
The girl asked for more other 500 rmb of tip for HJ, without any possibility to reduce the amount.
So I gave up.
According to that I presume that there are different "categories" of Spring massage.
Spring Ya'an Rd / Zhaojiabang Rd
Hey all,
I haven't been back to Spring since they took the showers out of the rooms about 8 months back, any insights?
"The Ya'an / Zhaojiabang Spring didn't take the showers from the rooms and the 358 option is still on the unofficial books, even if the service is reduced to a basic he massage so they seem to have survived the inclement weather."
That's what I would have written two months ago after a previous visit. However I went last week and everything is different. The front desk staff were new and didn't really know the drill. The massage lady (more mature than the usual) turned up in the more traditional tunic found in veggie shops. The shower was still in the room, but I had to walk down the corridor to another room where all the furniture had been removed and use the shower there.
The massage, was excellent so I was beginning to think they had gone legit and, TBH, it was so good, I wouldn't have been that worried. However, after the flip, she started 'testing the waters' to see if I was interested in more. Then asked for a 400 tip. I managed to get that down to 200 and she gave me one of the best HEs that I've experienced at Spring.
So, physically a win-win but financially a bit of a fail. There's another place, not to far away that's more expensive than Spring where the service has been improving after the storms and where I have yet to be asked for tips. I'll go there for now. PM for details if you're interested.
