We all started somewhere. It's just that, given it's so easy to find wg's in dxb, not much sympathy for those who don't bother contributing something. I was in Marines Bar during bike week for Thurs and Fri night and saw quite a few Filis. My 10-day escape from Saudi is almost over. Could hardly get any time away from the family to indulge in the hobby. Clear I enjoy the bar scene. I like the face-to-face, the ability to window shop, gauge attitudes BEFORE buying. And pick up a number or two for later use. Yes, it can be expensive, paying entrance fees, drinks, TIME, to find a bar you like. But once you do... And remember to go check out other venues occasionally.

Obviously, YMMV, and it does take effort. Regardless, it does pass the time, separates the weekdays from the weekends, and if you like your bar, anything else is just icing.
