Anyone know a pharmacy that has truvada / PrEP / emtricitabine and Tenofovir?
I've tried a bunch of pharmacies in Chapinero and I got all no s. I tried the supermarket one and they said go to the hospital. Before I try to navigate that, curious if you guys know.

You submerge the metal part into a bucket of water and it heats it up. It actually works pretty well. They cost around $5 usd at any hardware store. And about ridesharing in Colombia. No way it's illegal. Again, you think that Uber / Didi / InDriver can give a million rides a day without the government finding out about it? Somehow, the government is just oblivious to all the millions of rides being given? When the feds approach from down the street, does the Uber office turn off the lights and cover their logo with a bedsheet, and it fools the feds into thinking they're closed? What's your reasoning for the feds not cutting access to ridesharing servers if they're operating illegally?
That Exito story actually sounds like something I would have done in Tijuana. I explained above why exactly I was more tolerant with this particular chica. Also, I wanted to immerse myself more and learn about daily Colombian life. So if I had cut her off abruptly, then my learning would have immediately ceased with no other immediate options available. This is why some of you pass on false info about ridesharing being illegal, because the local population which has a 2nd grade education believes it. But come on guys, with a Western education and an ounce of common sense you would know that no way in hell could you operate a business that big illegally. No way on Earth it is possible to run a multi trillion peso industry illegally without the government finding out about it and cutting access to its servers. I believe that the cops tell rideshare drivers that their work is illegal, in hopes of being offered a large bribe in order to avoid their car being impounded. And the drivers believe it because it is such a common tactic. Perhaps some who refuse to bribe actually get their car impounded, but not solely for being a rideshare. The cops tack on bullshit charges in order to justify the impound.
Lastly, some financial info that may be of benefit to some. The casas de cambio at the airport all suck. During my trip, interbank was around 4400/1. The casa at BOG baggage claim was offering 4000. There were a couple of casas outside baggage claim and they were at 4000 and 3550. There is a casa de cambio in Chico Norte, across from Escuela Militar Granada, where all the bank towers are. I had been changing money there for $4000-$4100. Right outside Parque 93 there is a tall office tower. On the first floor there are a handful of casa de cambios. I got 4130 there the same day the Granada cambio offered $4000. Still a ripoff but not as bad as the airport. Also, when I paid for dinner tab was $370 k. I paid with my credit card and was offered to charge in pesos or $90 dls. I quickly whipped out my phone calculator to crunch the numbers but there is some sort of time limit. After a few seconds, the machine automatically chose dollars for me. And I know why, because their conversation rate is a ripoff, just like the offered conversion rates at ATMs. Had I chose pesos, I would have been charged $80 dls by my bank. So I got ripped off $10 on what should have been an $80 usd transactions. That's 12.5% which is quite steep. 4. Feeling bad for things which you had nothing to do with and no way to prevent is silly. Money won't change the past. If you want to give her money for nothing, don't try to rationalize it.

But I wrote my story, to the entertainment and benefit of mongers to provide a little insight on one monger's foray into the Bogota semi-pro world. I knew I would take some heat, mostly from a couple of mongers I've humiliated here in the past, who insist that rideshares operate secretly and illegally in Colombia, and the government has no idea rideshares are being given. These couple mongers are hell bent on revenge, and nitpick everything I say. They're so desperate to prove me wrong, just once, but fail every time. Jbee is a classic example. I don't even bother to read whatever drivel he spouts. But it's funny because he feverishly absorbs every word I write and responds to almost every one of my posts. Just obsessed, it's quite pathetic. I'm glad there are intelligent posters here such as LatinaLover and Zeos that can provide feedback and constructive criticism without the attacks. So right now, I'd like to provide a little more in-depth look at my thought process throughout this ordeal.

Nobody ever said the government did not know about it. Please quote where you saw someone write that. In third world countries there are things that are illegal that are tolerated and there are gray areas. They will not bust you for something today then bust you for that same thing tomorrow. That is what you are failing to understand.
In Thailand the law says that you must wear a helmet when riding a motorbike. 800 people can ride by the police with no helmet on, then when number 801 rides by without a helmet they pull them over and give them a ticket. Just because tons of people are seen doing it with no penalty does not make it legal.

So right now, I'd like to provide a little more in-depth look at my thought process throughout this ordeal.
MrE stated that he tosses to the curb any chica who hints of wanting money that he feels is undeserved. He mentioned a chica who he ditched merely for mentioning that her 20 year old son needed school supplies. Well, that chica would have to be around 40-45 years old. Let me say this: it is a hell of a lot easier ditching a grown 40 year old woman than it is an 18 year old. Many of you guys read her age as just a number and didn't consider her less-than-mature state of mind. Put yourselves into my situation. Your tolerance would be higher than normal as well because you're dealing with an 18 year old. And even higher because she is afflicted with a lifelong impairment that seriously compromises the quality of her life.
Also consider that I already had a lot invested. Sunk costs you could say. Travel expenses, gifts, etc. At the time, my goal was unlimited GFE sex for the next 7 days. If I had just ditched her earlier than I did, then I would be forfeiting my ultimate goal prematurely. My tolerance for BS was higher because I already had significant sunk costs and the payout, if achieved, would be significant.
Another thing, since I am just starting out in Bogota, I had no backup plan or alternatives. My game is the long game of free unlimited GFE. These relationships take some time to cultivate. Due to time constraints, I knew I wouldn't have time to find and cultivate a new relationship. Another factor which raised my tolerance.
So I spent around $330 usd in two days. If the result would have been unlimited GFE sex for the next 7 days, that would be well worth it. Some of you guys pay up to $100 usd / HR, or $200-$300 for TLN. Which makes $330 usd for TLS (toda la semana) a bargain. So I rolled the dice and stuck around for a while. Well worth the risk. Had she not been on the rag, I would have been rewarded with at least a partial payout. Well worth it, especially if you put a premium on 18 year old ass.
And the second $770 k dinner, there was no possible way I, or any other monger, could have predicted 7/8 guests would order two entrees. It came as a shock to me, listening to them place their orders. And not everyone said "thank you. But since there are hookers everywhere and even flyers and magazines offering their services, I guess you suppose it must be legal.
Where I am from it is absolutely illegal to have marijuana, but the district attorney has given police instructions to look the other way when someone has weed because they will not prosecute if someone has less than a certain amount, so everywhere you go you can smell illegal marijuana on people. Hard to imagine for you I know.

I get here and there are ribs on the grill. There are 8 people here (including me) and my plate is made first AND I am seated at the head of the table. There are no shoeless grandmothers and no deformed adult teenagers to be seen. I did not need to bring any gifts and all the money that I came with is still in my pocket! (I did take it out of my pocket for 1 second for picture taking purposes though.).
