Great Pics. I am astounded by the clairity.

By coincidence, I just bought the same camera you have this week. Upgraded from a Panasonic DMC FZ 20. Have not had a chance to use the Canon yet, but your results are outstanding.

I especially like the depth of field on the lady shot. Something that is missing from P&S digitals.

If you want a small DSLR, take a look at Nikon D60.
Pretty cheap and 10MP,
but you need AFS lenses for the Autofocus.

Manila- Come here if you like sex because there is a huge number of girls. The streets are not very pleasant at nights and most hotels are not girls friendly. Plan ahead for friendly hotel. Malate is the place to be. They will will find you.

Cost-I paid 10 dollars for low budget hotel all over the country. Food is cheap. Girls for me are still free altogether I don't fuck too much and try to avoid prostitutes. (its like trying to avoid water then you take a diving course)

Not at Cebu.

10$ a day in Manila is possible but you feel like a dog since it so hot with fan only. Very recommended to masochists or EX navy seal personals.

Elsewhere is reasonable estimation at low season for the lowest possible.

20$ outside Manila will allow you to feel very comfortable.

Philippines cheap for food and hotels but for any extra such as renting motorbike or day trip is expensive.
