I just came back from El Salvador and I had the best time ever. Better than Panama, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Brazil, etc. The key lies in that Salvadorian girls are very professional and gentle at the same time. Whereas, Thai girls are also professional (some are too professional!!!). Salvadorian girls are genuinely pleased to see you happy, there is not a hint of hypocrisy and these girls would anything that you ask them to do (well, almost anything). The great thing is that you could "hook up" with them after work, they will give you "real" phone numbers and if you are nice with them they might even give you freebies from time to time. My favorite place is without a doubt FRESH KISS (calle El Algodon) where there are over 30 girls and most of them are real 10s. The only problem with this place is that opens from Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 8PM because they are in a residential neighborhood and want to keep a low key. I went to other clubs but in term of cleanliness and selection only EL SOL and LA OFICINA came close. All the others either lack of great looking girls or the accommodations are not that great. It depends on what you want. All the major chains are there. Hundreds of smaller independent hotels are available. Where do you want to stay and how much do you want to spend? What do you want to do in the room? There are a number of web based hotel services that you can use to reserve a room. You will need an address when you arrive for your immigrations card.

It would help to know your price range. I stay at the Real Intercontinental, which is a 10 minute cab ride from KF. But by Central American standards it is pricey, between $125-135 a night, depending on the day of the week. Maybe someone else can recommend some cheaper places.

We can afford the Real Intercontinental but we don't like that price as a first choice, as we are in Central America. We like around $75 a night. Just a few hotels you like that are chica friendly nearby to the Zona Rosa, Fress Kiss, and clean massajes. We love Costa Rica but have a feeling we can do better in El Salvador.

You should not have any problem finding a hotel for $75/night. You will not be staying in a 5 star place. There are loads of hotels just off the main streets. There are also some apart/hotels that you can rent for the week for about $50-60/night. The Real Intercontinental is a bit by itself but just across from an enormous mall. If you read back in the formum you will find the recomendations on some "friendly" hotels and cab drivers that can be trusted.

I may go to S.Salvador in a couple of months.
I read the forum, so now I feel a bit prepared.
Nevertheless, I would like to have some information about street action.
In some towns of Latin America, in streets it is possible to find also some gems, just being patient and looking around.
I know that streets require care about safety, but usually I am quite prudent and I never had problems. I was in SS 4 years ago. I walked a lot at night, keeping on main streets, and it was good.
I was very lucky in Santa Fe in Bogota, for example, when daytime I found a young girl looking non-pro (dont question if she was non-pro for real. I said "looking"), who actually told me that she does not work in bars because she goes there to make a walk only when in need of cash.
In short, does anybody of you know what are the good places in central SS? daytime and, safety permitting, nightime?
Consider that I am latino-looking, so I flash less the attention in the streets than a "gringo". I also speak basic Spanish.
I hope to read some hints from all experts in this thread!

IMHO it is certainly possible, but I can't give you any direct knowledge based on personal experience re: where, when, etc. I would think that east of Salvador del Mundo on Blvd. Roosevelt, then left onto Ave. Los Heroes would be fertile ground (as well as in the shopping centers). On the streets...careful w/ trannies.
