But, I also have AT&T Smartphone.
When I insert any of the 7-11 sims in my Smartphone they do not work. It tells me my phone is not compatible.
I am sort of surprised it does not work. Both AT&T and T-Mobile (my USA carrier) both use GSM as does Thailand. Did you have your AT & T smartphone 'unlocked' by talking to AT&T customer support (which in its self is not a happy experience).

So, I have no idea.[/QUOTE]Its been a few years, but I used an unlocked T-mobile phone (an old Windows Mobile smartphone) my first trip to Thailand with no problems, then on 2nd trip used an HTC Touch Diamond smartphone that I bought in Australia. I continued to use that Aussie HTC on T-mobile when I returned to the US, too. What smartphone is yours, LuvPuss? Maybe its something about that model? I have an HTC HD2 (bought in NZ) that I hope to use next month.

I took a phone I got here in Thailand, Samsung Galaxy why, I have T-mobile pay as you go in the USA and when I was home recently I stuck my T-mobile sim into the Samsung and had no problem calling back to Thailand.
