What's up with the various lounges and bars up the hill from the American Embassy? I think the names are the Millionaire Club, Diamond Club, American Bar, etc. Guys in the street are handing out cards and cute girls stand at the door.

I've been around the block metaphorically speaking. My suspicion is that NOTHING good will happen if I go inside, even with a wad of money I'm willing to waste. But I have to ask the wiser locals what the deal is. Thanks!

My wife and I will be in Italy this November, and we've never engaged a prostitute before. Looks like things are about to get a lot better and cheaper in Rome. Hopefully the rest of Italy follows and it could become a decent destination for western europe.

So who will be sanctioned in the relative out hookers area, he will be able to get a recourse.

I had no idea that punting was widespread in Rome. From what I read on the forum, it was a punting wasteland.
