It doesn't need to be such a high percentage. Actually, even if only a low percentage of customers are willing to pay much higher prices, some lazy providers would just wait for the most stupid or least informed punters.

Alas, it works for many other things, products or services in Thailand (and especially in Bangkok and tourist-oriented places). For instance, the lazy tuk-tuk drivers who just wait in certain touristy places where they know that there will be enough uninformed foreigners by day who are willing to use their service at an inflated price. Those tuk-tuk drivers don't need to have many customers and are sleeping most of the day, but their laziness is not really a problem for them because there is a big enough supply of foreigners who don't know shit about the regular prices.

Before the current entertainment status, a brief history of the go-go entertainment scene of Bangkok:

In the early 90s, Nana mostly had bikini entertainment; except the 3rd floor Hollywood which had some nudity. Next in the mid 90s or so, they had lesbian shower entertainment on the first floor. Then they stopped it in the late 90s or so; Hollywood had some nudity. They used to party late. Then they closed Nana at 2AM.

Soi Cowboy for all the the 90s and the early part of the 2010s had mostly bikini; except Long Gun which always had good nudity; that go-go bar must be connected.

Papong (the main soi not including the rip off bars, the Japanese clubs and the gay clubs) in the early to mid 90s had the cutest girls. I was there last year; it went down hill. Girls were not cute.

Current Status (Note that I did not go to every bar):

Nana went downhill. Overall quality is not that good. Nana always had a lot of ladyboys; it had those ladyboy clubs on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Now it seems to have become ladyboy central. Many of them hang out in front of Nana. Plus some bars have way too many ladyboys (most / all go-go bars have some ladyboys or post-op ex-guys, but some bars in Nana now have way too many for my taste). Only bar that's decent for quality is Rainbow; it had couple that I would consider cute (couple of 7s or 8s; but remember that I have a very tough rating). Only full nudity I saw was in Spanky in which 1 girl was in the shower naked; yuck! Is that it; I miss Pattaya!

Hollywood seems to be closed; I looked inside Carousel around 1 AM; only 1 girl on stage; seems to have died. Nana doesn't seem to be as happening / crowded as before.

Soi Cowboy is happening / crowded. Several bars have full nudity. Couple has lesbian shows.

Bacarra is always too crowded; but I was there 1 night, and I didn't seen any hotties.

Best club for lookers are Midnite and Sahara; there's a few in each club in which I would rate them as 8s.

Overall, I would rate Midnite as the best; it has full nudity; it has Papong style of shows; it has lesbian shows. Real ones, not like the fake ones like Suzy Wongs in which you can't see anything because the girl's hair is in the way.

Something strange (maybe a caveat) : on Tuesday, Midnite girl's had their clothes on; other clubs were similar; but then on Wednesday and Thursday things were back to normal. Maybe a temporary crackdown?

The thing that sucks the most about the Bangkok scene is the prices of the beers. Singha is 145 or 155 baht per beer; that is expensive if you have 7 or 8 per night.

Not sure what time they open or close; both Nana and Soi were open at 1:30 AM; Soi Cowboy had signs advertising happy hours specials starting at 4:30 and 5:30 PM.

I spent a total of three nights in Bangkok on my trip. One night just after New Years in transit between Phuket and Angeles and two at the very end to get some clothes tailored and load up at MBK.

First night I stayed at the Westin Grande on points. Luxury hotel, prime location, and definitely girl-friendly. Visited Soi Cowboy that night and had a good time at several of the bars, but I ended up spending most of my time at the Rio and pulled a young new girl there which rounded out the night very well.

Last two nights I stayed at the Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa on the river on points. Amazing hotel, terrible location for the hobby, and I believe it is girl-friendly although it is so far away from the action, that I did ST locally. Next time I will use my Marriott points on the JW Marriott which is ground zero. I went to Nana during this trip and observed Rainbow 4 with the best talent, but much too crowded for my taste. As I was walking around I was pulled into a small club called Mandarin and it was definitely my style. Younger cuter girls, not too busy, and friendly management. Went ST with a newbie there and was duly rewarded. Also, I was surprised at the smoking ban inside the bars at Nana. I did adjust and have my cigar at the beer bars in the middle of the complex and the girls there were very fun to hang out with.

For the last three years I have always ended my trips at Thonglor 2 massage.

This year the lineup was more impressive (make sure you ask for one) and I took package B instead of the usual A. Make sure you get the VIP room if you do a package and let the girl know that you will be doing the "special" massage as this sets the nude affectionate tone from the start. A very happy ending to an amazing trip.

I have now been traveling for a while and I'm now bored of the A-cups and B cups of the girls in Thailand.

I have no idea who you are referring to as Mango's staff. You will see my posts are on a wide variety of subjects.

I guess it's all subjective, but Midnite and Sahara are both owned by the Arab; his bars are notorious for having all sorts of problems. I've been in there a few times. Mostly the girls have bored looks on their faces and not many hotties. Again, it's all subjective. Baccara, Tilac, Shark, and Dollhouse are overall the best for good-looking girls in my opinion.
