As for a trip report, the trip was somewhat uninspiring. So much so that I decided I probably wouldn't be returning. Well it's cold again up north and I need some sun. I've never been to SD or Boca and have been reading. Being that it's a Monday and a Tuesday I think SD is the best option plus I can take some time to see the city. I didn't realize that it was the oldest city in the America's. I appreciate you keeping tabs on me. If you're in the DR in a couple weeks or Curacao next week let me know.

I would stick with Boca Chica because you don't need a game plan. There is some action, the beach, restaurants and hotels all in one small area. You won't need a cab to take you to places you never been. 2 days of Boca Chica is OK for the average monger who is short on time. SD takes some pre-planning. But hey you have been reading and SD sounds like the best option follow your gut.

The whole point about the trip report is to write the good and bad and not just make requests for help. You give back, but I guess that is asking to much. You want people to take the time to answer your questions, but your not willing to take the time to write about your uninspiring experience. Okay.

Heading to Curacao and Santo Domingo was a cheap flight heading home is why I decided to come back. Also flight back out of POP was reasonable to get home so I decided to spend a second week somewhere. I appreciate all the lectures but not sure why either of you are so concerned. I agree after more reading and your advice that the SD thing may be the wrong choice. Please do a trip report about your day in Boca Chica, the touts in Boca Chica love a new face. I can't do more than 2 days in Boca and I have connections there, it's to small and intimate. My advise for you would be to catch the 7 am metro bus to Sosua and you will be sipping a beer at Playa Sosua by noon.

Drinks and dinner and I score. BTW, I'm 63 and nobodies idea of a looker. But I suppose being fluent in Spanish gives me an unfair advantage. I do believe many of the girls speak English. I love DR and will be returning. Right now I'm waiting for the horny whales to arrive in Samana. Did the Samana zipline the other day. Well worth the money. I miss not buying a motorcycle but I'm with a GF and that changed the paradigm. This trip is very different from my others but lots of fun. Since you are fluent in Spanish the whole game changes for you. I am only fluent in English so I won't tell you what I think; I will tell you what I know or have experienced. Most chicas DON'T speak English! Drinks and Dinner can lead you respectively to a hard dick and back in a casa or on the streets looking for relief. Of course minus the dinero you just wasted on the nice respectable chica looking for a serious relationship. [/QUOTE]Yes, but it is still interesting to many people to know how you negotiated the $80 rides, whether you took the first taxi, or waited until everyone had gone, what time you arrived at Sosua, how you negotiated your ride back to Santiago, whether you used the same taxi for the return trip, whether you paid for a hotel room for an extra night in Sosua and checked out at midnight, and so on.

Get back on the street and find another one. Now that I'm 63 I find my priorities evolving. I still like to get laid but I don't consider it a waste of time and money if I don't. I enjoy having dinner with a pretty girl and finding out about her life. That may sound corny but consider back home I can't even talk to a babe, much less take her to dinner. I'm very thankful for that. And I'm happy to give the girls a little money even if I don't screw them. I know they need it. Here in Las Terrenas I see girls sitting in a bar waiting to score. I am 60 and still enjoy the full monger experience. There are plenty of young ladies anxious to hook up. These same ladies will use you like toilet paper if you let them.

There is nothing wrong with what you are doing if it makes you happy. I am happy when seeing a sweet young thing in my bed. I work hard to make it a mutually enjoyable experience. It is not all about sex for me either but sex is major.

You couldn't tell from chatting with your girl she wants to be a girlfriend. Not too many girls I know in DR who are looking for boyfriends want to share that man with another woman. Most Chica that offer happy hour are just trying to secure your business. Hell I even ran into some girls in Sosua that refused to have another woman present. But if you don't ask you will never know.

It is also not that I could not tell (she made it abundantly clear as well) but I am not into novias and never lie no matter how much I would like to bed an individual, a) not to hurt someone's feelings and b) not to have the lie bite me back in a foreign land. So if my straight talk while I chat up someone does not yield results, I walk. On that note, Lonely made a valid point, a gesture of kindness without immediate expectation often bears fruits.
