Bogota. Taxis and ATMs. Early Sep'22
Taxi from Bogota terminal (satire): he tried to overcharge at the dropoff. For 132 taxi units, he said it is 25 k pesos. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a fare conversion chart online. When asked for a fare chart that should be behind the passenger's seat, he said he forgot to bring it. The cabify app suggested the taxi fare is 15-18 k pesos and I showed him. All the while he hasn't stopped the meter and showed me that I need to pay for the units, but I showed the photo for 132 units I took as soon as the taxi reached my place. I argued I will pay 15 k in that case, then ended up paying 23 k and he left.
Taxi meters in Medellin, coffee region (Manizales, Pereira, Armenia) are good, the meter shows in pesos. In Cali & Bogota, the meter shows units, and I don't know where to find the conversion chart. But Uber, easytaxi (cabify), Didi experience is good. So, I never used taxi in Cali & Bogota except for the initial trip from the terminal. You could avoid a taxi even from terminal and use Uber / Cabify / Didi if you are willing to walk outside the terminal and get into the car from outside.
ATMs: I found ATMs from 4 different banks in a exito store. I have usual USA cards. Schwab, etc. I tried 1 or more of my cards in these ATMs.
Servicibanca.com.co: Has 18.2 k fee. Maximum withdrawal 2 M pesos for overseas card.
Davivienda: no fees. Maximum withdrawal 2 M pesos.
Scotiabank: Didn't use, either 600 k /900 k max withdrawal or fee or both.
Cajero: Didn't use, either 600 k /900 k max withdrawal or fee or both.
Dann Carltons are nice. So I disagree. No problems
The Dann Carlton hotel chains across Colombia are total shit and should be avoided at all costs. Took me 5 months and multiple in person visits to receive a $500 refund I was due. Incompetent and terrible customer service.
There are 3 in Bogota. Which one and what was the problem? Medellin has 2 both extremely high end, still reasonable and my first choice!
Leave those SA girls alone
My 1 month on Seeking expires tomorrow and I have no plans to renew it. I'm in Bogota and will go to Medellin in a few days, so may reconsider it there, depending on my luck with the casas.
With Seeking, there are so many unknowns. The girl often looks different to the photos; her attitude may stink; she likely won't even show up.
(P. S- if anyone can tell me how to make some text bold in my posts, then I'd appreciate it.).
.).
The same WG's on Millorotices etc. Use SA. EXCEPT maybe 5-10% are actual non or semi pro girls, educated looking for a good time and yes, sex will happen. If you treat them like Ho's. LOL they will either block you or in person you will have a problem. 200 cop. LOL DO NOT allow people to contact you. Find the ones you like and message them. It sounds like you should look elsewhere. For me it has been life changing.
Santa Fe -- Not for Everone--
So yeah, I'm kind of over sf. As I said, the good and the bad are insepparable. Everone is bummed out because they work in such a ghetto place. Yes, there is one hot girl in the street for every 10 ugly ones, but they usually have a shit attitude and if you want more than basic mechanical service, it's no longer a good deal and you're better off finding someone better looking on mileroticos or somewhere else. The club girls are a bit better, but the clubs have their own problems like the one I mentioned, plus the obnoxiously loud electonic music and the waiting game of trying to get the attention of the girl you like without chasing her around the club like a lion chasing a ghazelle. Oh and another thing, unless you have a micropenis, bring your own condoms to the clubs in sf. The ones they give out will cut off your circulation. Not trying to flex on my dick size or anything but the session I had with a really cute venezolana in the club was pretty much ruined by this mistake...
Sorry for your bad experience- I love Santa Fe though-- I consistently get Great sex there-- Good Luck with your other ventures.
