All you would need to do is to take the offer regardless what the outcome of your life experience will be. It could be that it proves your prejudiced opinion or in my view, it will probably more likely may at least slightly change 'some' of your opinion.
But I guess you are afraid you may have at the end to correct some of your views of the Lodge (at least beer pricing ha ha ha) and that is what you probably wouldn’t allow yourself to admit. You are a poor guy and a coward.
And please don't relate it to 'northern Irish' character and insult them by saying 'typical northern Irish', as I know enough northern Irish people who prove yourself wrong.

Here in HK the police do their job. And you would not want to try to bribe one. At least not with what 95%(my guess) of the population could afford.
