Apparently he never bar-fines gogo girls for less than 2500 baht in Bangkok. Everyone knows that's a girls starting price but they come down to 2000 without any resistance. If not, I would be happy to get the latest advices / must-go places from anyone.

Gogo bars and beer bars look very different. You have to enter a gogo bar (usually past several 'hello girls' standing outside) but beer-bars are usually open-sided so you can see the girls from the street. In gogo bars you watch girls dancing naked or semi-naked on stage but not in beer-bars. In gogo bars the girls / mamasan are usually (but not always) pushier for lady-drinks but beer-bars are much more relaxed. In gogo bars the emphasis is on you perving at the sexy girls dancing but in beer-bars it's more about having a relaxing drink and some banter with the girls. Generally the beer-bar girls will speak better English.

Drinks in gogo bars are generally more expensive but you get to see more of a 'show'. The bar-fine is generally about twice as much as the beer-bars. The girls charge more in the gogo bars too. From observation on my recent trip I'd say that a girl of a similar quality in a gogo bar will charge 500-1000 more for short-time than in a beer bar. Gogo bars generally have the younger, prettier girls but exceptions prevail. The prettiest girl I took on my trip was from a beer-bar. There is a slight difference in mentality too. I think gogo girls are more geared to short-time these days (in Thailand at least) but the beer-bar girls are stayers.

I've attached a pic of one of the beer bar complexes in Pattaya called 'Drinking Street' to give you an idea of what to expect. You simply walk around and if you see a girl you like, stop for a beer and get talking to her. If you like her, buy her a drink. If you still like her, bar-fine her for a cheap price.

I'd highly recommend exploring both types of venues. Go on 'gogo crawls' like I did and visit as many bars as possible. Not only will you see lots of pretty girls, it will help give you a real taste of what Pattaya has to offer. Then next night try some of the beer-bars. It's a more relaxed way to spend an evening and you'll certainly chat to more girls. In between visit some of the excellent massage parlours I visited.
