It will be interesting to know how your experience is with non pros in Rio de Janeiro non pro clubs? I've been following your posts on the POA board too. Though I've had many trips to RJ, my recent POA detour was my first (but not my last). My impression is that the RJ brasileiras are a lot more gringoed and jaded, but non pros are still quite do-able. I had a few impromptu non pros in RJ a earlier this year by simply going for it with attractive business and office girls, and even in a club on Lagoa in Leblon, and expecting to be shot down pretty regularly.

I would propose taking the non pro to Panda:

Mainly because it is well advertised, even on the back of RJ buses, so girls want to go there. The hot bunda'd biz girl catching the bus from Humaita to the metro in Botafogo ses that advert every day sitting on her bunda boa, and even the most attractive non pro biz girl has days in the week where she want's a good banging. It's a little way from Copa, but worth it. After Panda, just get her back to the apartment.

For what its worth, here's my report on Monte Carlo. Got there around 7:30 p on Fri. R90 to get in. No line. Bar lounge where girls are is very small. Ten steps and you're at the other end of bar. So even with 20 people, place looks packed. Women were decent-to good depending on taste. One chick I really wanted but I waited too long to walk over. Missed opportunity. One girl walked up to me. We talked, kissed and touched while waiting for room. About 1/2 hr to wait fro room or we could go in medical room where Dr. Does exams for ladies. It's very small and has an examing table with stir-ups. Less wait time for that room. I decided on Dr. Room. Got her legs in stir-ups and went at it. Something different. If you're a big guy, don't even try Dr's room. When I checked out, they charged me for 2 sessions. Only had one. But manager took care of it and fixed bill. Paid R318 for 1 session, 2 beers, 1 water. If you pay with credit card, they will add another R30. When I walked out door (around 10:30 p), line outside. No one let in until some of crowd clears. Like I said, that bar lounge is very small so they can't let everyone in. That's all.

Wondering why A place like Meia Pataca is not attracting GDP again after Balcony is closed?

The idea of standing around a closed bar like a JA doesn't sound like fun LOL.

Looking forward to partying in Lapa my next trip, MC was my fav Terma followed by Quatro por Quatro (awesome new place LOL).

Don't miss L'uomo as the girls had bad breath and I almost lost my key.

First night here, taking it easy, but I will let you know. Going to scout out clubs but so far walking around seems like its pretty awesome, if I can out fox the throngs of drunk americans (but most haven't figured out that you can just talk to girls here so should be ok.

I'm guessing that standard operating procedure with a non-pro you take to a motel is you pay for everything and her cab fare (at least) right? I can speak a touch of portugese, (what do you do, yes I like that, I live here etc. So that should help.

But thanks for the tip on the hotel, my plan is to let the girl bring it up, but I wanted to have a plan, in case she wasn't a local for whatever reason.

Propably because they are smart.
Meia Pataca did well in the old days, just in front of the ho-beach and next to Help. All the GP action at MP ended quickly when Help closed. Now MP attracts families and normal tourists.

What would be the consequences if MP in some magical way managed to attract the whole Balcony crowd? The neighborhood would be furious. The Prefeitura would go apeshit as MP is next door to their precious Museu da Imagem e do Som. The Prefeitura would target MP hard and quickly.

I think Balcony opens again very soon. At least for a while before they finally close it permanently.

I don't know much about where in Copacabana but my recommendation would be in Flamengo near where I used to live. I have additional addresses available via PM.

.[/QUOTE]Every time I walked past by MP (Especially during the daytime) it is absolutely pitiful, not a single client. The waiters are standing around and damn near begging people to have a seat. Once in a blue moon around 6-8 PM, you might see a family or two. I bet all the waiters and management would give their right eye in order to have the old monger clients back.

I went on their facebook page and recognized at least 3 independent GDPs from Balcony.

For luxury, try VIP motels, but it is quite a distance from Copa.

I've heard / read so much about Centarus that I have to visit at least once before I leave Rio at end of month. Majority of reports all say best looking women at Centarus, but pricey. I'm ok with the price hit since I'm only going to do it once. But, is the quality / quantity of women any different from a weekday vs a weekend? Tried searching thread, couldn't find an answer.

Bad thing is the quality before has mostly been dire unless one's lucky. Never really liked the food but a badly cooked overpriced breakfast somehow tastes like a least worst option if the horn is still strong from the night before. Put it this way, there were girls there that I would have gladly paid their going rate to hear their war stories. Ok, my initial report is this. Stay the fuck out of Rio unless you love soccer. If you're cool talking soccer with Germans while watching older dudes talk to but Not take home sketchy looking chicks, Mabs is for you!

This whole town is swarmed with dudes. Walking down the street and its about a 10:1 guy: girl ratio. I'm going to try the accompanhandes route I think, but well see, tried to text a few, but no such luck yet, but probably because I have a us phone. Going to try again tomorrow, but I'm guessing its going to be termas or blue balls in Rio. Going to hit ipanema tomorrow, and see if its any better there. (Doubt it).
