They even gave me change when I screwed up the money and gave too much. For a beginner / first timer. Its a great place to go. There are better situations (for me) in Bogota, but if you are new and / or when you don't have a ton of free time / just want something NOW. It is perfect. I returned to Bogota yesterday in a little over a month, the exchange rate at the combio near the baggage carousel went from 4800 down to 4600, not a big deal it was expected because the official rate slipped a little in the last week from a high of 5000 to 4800.200 pesos is literally fractions of a cent.
