Been in Shanghai for a few years already, I have seen the demise of the good old Brick and Mortar mongering. The ever crazy fish bowls are things of the past and the rates at J&M are gone too high, thanks to the crazy rich Chinese.
Internet comes as a savior, if you are watching closely A couple of encounters in the last few weeks have solidified my belief.
The Long-Legged MILF.
The ever shining Shanghai very beautifully hides the dark secrets, some of it could be treasures for some. The lonely housewives. A few days of attentive work on people nearby got me in touch with one. It started as an awkward conversation using WeChat translate and I made it clear that my Chinese ain't any good. She was still talking (Sign 1) so I got upfront about what I expect. We don't expect each other's language so all that we can explore is carnal pleasures (with mutual consent of course). She asked me to come to her place which was way too far, plus the fear of unknown places made me refuse. She was adamant too but a video call followed which maybe persuaded her to get in the car and drive to my place in an hour (We don't speak the language so you can guess what Video call was all about). Here she was, in my home, all dressed up like a typical Chinese housewife, I won't say she was too pretty but that figure was too hot. Guess she had picked some clothes to buy on TMall and asked me to get her one, of course the meager me refused. I offered her a better gift instead. Johnny. A good few hours of fun and we bid our goodbyes.
Damage. Hot Water (you know how crazy they are about hot water).
The Lovely Mixed.
A few days later, it itched again. People nearby yielded no results so I checked out TanTan. A few swipes later, I came across a profile with no pic and just a WeChat. Added of course and it was a pleasant surprise. A mixed (Israeli+Vietnamese) student looking for side income, in fact she shared a lot of details up front. 650 for an hour, 900 for two and I guess 1200 for Night. Kept the details and called her for an hour a few days later. Yes, she smokes if you do, yes she drinks if you offer, says no to nothing and enjoys the act. I am thinking of calling her for a night sometime but depends on how generous Social Media is, you never know if you find someone even better.

I hate Xian Tan Di especially trying to get a cab out, its worse than the M&J area. At least there you can walk to the portman and look like a guest. But at least there are people there, any particularly good places. I think the refinery should be good but never had much luck there.

I wouldn't post it purely on a single message on this forum.
Coco is too afraid for LE so that's why she stopped working. She knows very well what happened to Judy (and Steven) and knows Judy was the 'weakest link'.
I'm not sure if and when she will come back. It's currently more safe to stick with girls who don't frequent massage parlors or KTV's or Sauna's. But we're still in contact and on good terms, so who knows.

Went for another QQ session today and no problem. Added a few potential girls to QQ / Wechat and it seems they are all in business.
Tip: for those who have difficulty locating the girls here is my modus of operandi:
1. If the girl has both WC and QQ, contact them via WC;
2. If no WC listed on their ads, contact via QQ and ask for their WC, most girls have both. In fact they all have two phones: one for P4P and one for their regular lives;.
3. After obtaining their service card (listing main nearby cross road and services) usually via a photo, ask them to write in a separate WC / QQ message the crossing. Now you can copy / paste the address in Google translate, which does not work with the photo;
4. When near the main crossing (often near a subway exit), use WC location sharing (uses detailed Baidu maps not Google) which displays the girls location in detail so you can just walk there;
5. Clear the last hurdle (exact floor of the buidling / security code) and presto: a nice SYT waiting for you :)

Note: it goes without saying that the more Chinese you can speak / read, the easier, but even with modest Chinese, the above steps never failed me and only took me a few extra minutes to find my treasure.

Is everyone aware that Wechat has an inbuilt translation function? Long-press on the message, a few options will appear. Press the triangle for "more options" to find "translate".

Just got a message from one of my faves. She's in shanghai. I missed her as she was home taking care of her sick mom my last time in town.
I spoke to her this morning (last time her time) . Judy's is closed and she is hanging out at a bar in Xin Tian Di, looking for business. She was with a very pretty girlfriend that she sent a picture of both of them. Business is not going well.
Unfortunately, I don't expect to be in Shanghai until mid January. Anyone planning their trips in January to travel with Sam Can?

[/QUOTE]WC has an inbuilt translator, but these translators (incl. Google) can not "read" a photo, so that's why you have to ask for a written address in a message. You can only scan a photo using Google translate by using a separate phone hovering over the first phone with the photo. But this does not work very well. Another tip is to use Google since it can display the pinyin translation which is way more accurate than the English, of course you need to be able to read pinyin, but it can help a lot. Also, rather than copy / paste each text item, Google has the option (in desktop mode) to translate a whole page in one go.
Perhaps I should have paid more attention during my Chinese classes...LOL.

A few remarks:
- photos are always low quality (smartphone taken) and that is perhaps on purpose. In any case subtract 1 - 1.5 points for photoshopping (Meitu etc). Actually I do not pay much attention to these photos because of this, in some cases the girl looked worse and in some cases they looked better. Also, the comments on their "fan" pages are quite useless IMHO, most comments are from guys who have not met the girls in question, so they only comment on doctored photos.
Once I chose a girl whose photos showed a cute cosplay type (slim and bubbly). She turned out to be rather plump and very homely, ordinary. As a counter gesture I gave her some good pounding. Tip: don't focus on the face in the photo but on the hands and feet cause they are usually not altered and can show if the girl is slim or plump.
- girls rotate a lot on the landing page so checking regularly is rewarding.
- prices are fixed and start at 400 all the way upto 1000 and even above. Service always includes FS.
