Negotiation Strategy in Their Spanish county.
Higher end bar girls quote in dollars. It is more of the norm than you think. I was there last month and it was a mix of asking price in dollars and pesos. They start at $300 and of course can be negotiated. Unless you go frequently and develop friendship with normal girls for a monger it is not a aim and shoot proposition. Definitely the girls are not subservient aiming to please... I believe fluent Spanish is a must not app translated.
Agree. Its not just throw out a number, then back and forth like offer, counteroffer. Most times you have to dance with them or buy them a drink, sit down with them at a table and give them a compliment. Try a little romance. If you do not speak Spanish, then you will not be successful. Remember, its not your country. Its Spanish speaking people, and they will take advantage of you if you are on their turf. So if you are old, fat, rude, bossy, or do not communicate in Spanish, you will not have much luck and probably pay much more. You can read all the posting on this site you want, but until you go there and talk to them (in Spanish) you will be treated like a foreigner with money to give them, period, and they will take advantage of you as much as they can! Common excuse, "I have to Leave early because my baby is sick." "My cousin is in the ER of the hospital", etc. I have heard these regularly in Dominican Republic so much that I do not do overnights with chicas there.
Question: Prices and Imperio
I haven't been to Cartagena since just before the pandemic, but reading the latest comments it seems prices have gone up; to the regular visitors, are the prices really up or just a few outliers? If they are up, are we talking double what it was pre-pandemic or not much of a difference given dollar is now worth more vs COP than it was two years ago?
I also see some comments that Isis has changed to Imperio; has anyone visited and is it the same as Isis or does it have a different concept? Are prices high (I can't remember if last time I got quoted COP 400,000 or USD 400 for a session, which I of course declined).
If they are not going to go for less than 250,000 (COP) than yes prices have gone up
Naa, prices haven't really gone up to be honest. Chicks can still be had for 250,000 per hour. This is never an issue, and some may say no to 250,000, but they all say yes to 300,000 so you're fine. Except maybe 10% outliers. Again I'm strictly talking about club girls y'all never seen before. The club drink prices have DEF gone up thought at insane levels. Taxis also same price, no inflation.
It's the longer stays you need your negotiation hat on. But we were consistently finding 600,000-700,000 for 6 hours and 3 leches.
Just don't fall for the USD tactics, because some will come at you with insane prices for all night. Happy hunting!
If they are not going to go for less than 250,000 (COP) than yes prices have gone up. I frequented Cartagena may times between 2009 and the last time was 2019 and during that entire decade I could always find a decen looking chica to come back to my apartment for a couple of hours for 150,000 - and the top price for a gorgeous chica was 200 k (including BBBJ) - so in my opinion the prices have been driven up. I suspect there are several factors that have driven them up. Mostly the general popularity of Cartagena. All these fools going on FB advertising this shit. Lord forgive them for they know not what they do. Then the recen events around the pandemic drove mongers who usually head to Germany and Thailand down there. It is not the same city that I used to love so much.
