This can range from about 20 BR all the way to 200 BR. Most of my fellow travelers will suggest an apartment. I agree. Read this thread for details on how to rent a short term apartment. If you are going to go with a hotel, the Casa Blanca will serve you will. Read my review on this hotel I wrote a few years ago. If you want something else, I stay at the IBIS. It will cost you 20 extra there, but it is not a bad place. New info on the IBIS, they removed the in-room safes now and you can only secure your valuables behind the front desk.

So Money is no option:

Holiday Inn.

Luzeiros.

If you need to keep it cheap:

Casa Blanca.

IBIS.

I know there are many more, but I have no experience at those locations.

The site [url]http://www.photoatnight.com/[/url] Used to be a great place to find pics of all these places like Zipi's, Armazem etc. For quite some time this site is being very lame, only a few updates, and they have kicked out the "tourist places".

Any of you know a place to find pics of these bars other than photoatnight? I have seen a collection of Armazem photos, but can't find it any more.

Photos attached were from Iracema bars, the girl with jeans on "girls2011" has been working for years now, I spent some time with her in 2005 when she was a very cute hot young GDP.

A short update on the Fortaleza scene.

GENERAL:
* Much less rain than usually in January.
* There are lots of brazilian tourists in Fortaleza. Less gringos than usual. It seems like most gringos consist of italians with an average-age of 60 plus.
* Fortaleza is changing a lot. Iracema is going through some big changes. The whole calçadão area is getting very pretty. The construction of the Aquarium hasn´t started yet. I would expect closing of more GP-bars/clubs.
* Apartment prices from R$60 for a nice apartment in the Iracema area.

PRO-SCENE, NIGHT-TIME:
* PRICES: It seems like standard that the girls ask for R$150 at the clubs. Negotiate and don´t pay more than maximum of R$80. Streetwalkers are cheaper.
* "Ho-crossing", clubs: Cafe del Mar and Forro & Mambo. Cafe del Mar seems to have lost most of their customers, very empty. At Forro & Mambo it´s only the upper part that is working right now. Less people than it used to be. Mixed quality.
* "Ho-crossing", bars: The Reggae Bar and two bars with Dutch names.
* "Ho-crossing", nearby: Zipi Bar. Zipi Bar starts earlier, around 10 PM. The good news are that they are no longer charging any entrance and the place is often crowded. The bad news is that the quality has gone down a lot. It takes a lot of searching to find a stunner.
* Armazem: Wednesdays, ho-night. The usual GP´s from Iracema and "once-a-week-pro's". Also here it´s less people than it used to be.
* Crocobeach: Thursday, party evening. Mixture of mainly regular girls and some GP´s. It has gone downhill even more.

PRO-SCENE, DAY-TIME, CENTRO:
* Praça dos Martires: About a dozen old and very ugly women hanging out.
* The market-square on Rua General Sampaio. Very few SW and bottom-low quality.
* Espaço Show: Praça dos Martires. Low-end place with strip-tease and GP´s.

PRO-SCENE, PRIVÊS, CENTRO:
There are lots of privês in Centro. This year I only tried 4 of them.
* Rua Pedro Pereira 950: Up the stairs, white door. R$25/30 minutes. Only 2 girls. Fat and ugly.
* Rua Pedro Pereira 1252: A house with a gate. R$25/30 minutes. 4 girls. Three of them are giant monster women. The fourth was quite a cute blond girl. A weird house filled with at least 5 dogs and some cats running loose.
* Rua General Sampaio 682, sala 205: End of the corridor. R$25/30 minutes. 5 girls. Very fun girls.
I recommend: Amanda: 19 yo law student, cute, nice ass, excellent BBBJ.
* Rua Melvin Jones 73, sala 114: The guy in the stairs is the security guy, he´ll inform you which girls are working. Between 2-5 girls working. R$35/30 minutes.
I recommend:
Bia, 18 yo, cute, happy, quite tall, round and nice ass.
Gabriella, 18 yo, cute, very firm and nice body, a bit unexperienced.

PRO-SCENE, BEACH:
* Praia do Futuro: It´s hard to find GP´s at Praia do Futuro. Try Croco Beach but don´t expect anything at all.
* Beira-Mar: The beach and the barracas in front of McDonalds. A handful of GP´s. Mixed quality.

PRO-SCENE, OTHER:
* I prefer session at a privê in centro or picking up a GP on the beach. You shouldn´t pay more than maximum R$50 to the beach-GP´s.

NON-PRO-SCENE:
* Fortaleza still has a good regular night-life.
My old favourite has always been Mucuripe Club on Fridays. Huge place, 4 pistas and lots of people. Mostly white middle- and upperclass girls. Unfortunately the quality has gone down at Mucuripe. More gringos have appeared and also some GP´s.
Entrance R$ 35. Beer R$ 5-6.

* Dragao do Mar: Nice realexed bars. Good for meeting regular girls.
* The most beautiful girls in Fortaleza are definitely not the GP´s, but the regular girls. It´s not hard work meeting regular girls in Fortaleza.
* Where to meet the non-pro´s: You´ll meet them in centro, buses, markets, on the beach or when strolling in Iracema or Beira Mar. Local girls or tourist girls from Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia or BH.

FINAL NOTES:
* The stunners in Fortaleza are a minority. The majority are the typical nordestinas, short, overweighted, big squared heads and without necks.
* Fortaleza has lost a lot when it comes to the pro-scene. Fewer clubs, less girls and lower quality. The prices are however still good.
* My advice: Go mainly for the regular girls and don´t expect to much of the GP-scene.
* Try the privês in Centro. I´ve only tried a handful but there are plenty of them.

Her colleagues got jealous, and beat her up and kicked her out of the privê. During the two weeks she worked there she got almost all the customers. Still a decent place to visit, but my semi-pro / pro GDP expectations from my recent visits, also have been tempered. Alot. Anyway like most things in Brazil these days, just enjoy it while it lasts.

After 1 month Cartagena vacations were I found the girls were more expensive and business-like.

I want to come back to fortaleza asap. Last time I was in May, wondering if in June / July is more crowded?

Hi everybody, I'm enjoying the talk here I will be in Fortaleza for 2 weeks in March travelling alone. Obviously want to enjoy the beach, also looking to get laid as much as I can. I Have been reading the reports and have an idea of whats going on there, its my first time to Brazil but been many times to South America and Caribbean so I think I know how to engage with the ladies. I can speak good spanish and portugues. Is anyone going there the first two weeks of March? Is someone living there right now that has some advice on places?
