Since we are on the subject of Japanese, I have to say that they do not hold the same respect towards non-Japanese than we do to them.

My only issue with them is that they are changing P4P in Thailand, and not for the better!

My main issue is that many massage places now have adopted the All inclusive prices only to suit the Japanese, Many Karaoke Clubs accept Japanese Only and Thermae is being Overrum by them. I am not anti-Japanese, but hell, that's a little too much to handle.

I arrived late to BKK, took a little rest then off to Baccara I went.

I never found it a useful pickup spot anyway, just an interesting place to go for a drink and listen to music if I was inclined to check out the scene in that area.

IME most have been asking 1000 and I didn't notice any changes in price from 2007 to 2010, although when I was last there the attitudes were better, probably as a direct result of the lack of tourists due to the protests and airport closures. I doubt things have picked up much since then with the mess in Bangkok last year, which explains the free tourists visas being offered and the deadening of sites like this.

Japan has not changed much since the 80's and tourism trends are stagnant there as well. I don't think there are many more Japs in Thailand than there were, say, in 1990. Don't worry they won't overrun Thailand or any other place in Asia. Also, knowing their dislike of darker skin, it's not a threat anyway.

Another thing are the Chinese. A country of 1. 35 billion (which is more than TEN TIMES larger than Japan) with the number of rich people (I. E. Potential tourists) skyrocketing as we speak due to economic boom which has now been happening for the past 30 years. Yes, in about 15 years time Thailand won't be a tourism spot dominated by just Weterners as it still is today. At best it will be 50/50 or maybe 40/60 (60 being Chinese) and the "Western" share staying strong only thanks to increasing influx from Russia and hopefully the other Eastern European and "new" EU countries (if they won't die out due to population shrinkage by then). Things are changing and there is no way to hide from it. On the other hand, Asia is a place where there won't ever be shortage of sex. If not Thailand then it'll be Vietnam Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar or anything else. It's not like Westerners will be banned. We have money after all, and money is what matters.

One more thing is the preferences by the girls. A few times I specifically asked Thai go-go girls about what nationalities / cultures they disliked the most.
