Hotels or Private apartments
In the past it was so much harder to organise a private apartment so we had to rely on hotels and often paying extra to the door man or reception but it seems to me that the number of private apartment rental sites have changed that (flipkey, airbnb, tripadvisor, homeaway just to mention a few) have literally hundreds of apartments. Just ask if the doorman / porteiro (some don't even have one) allow guests and your away.
