Hi guys,
What is the updated situation there right now. Can foreigners easily come after being vaccinated for covid or are there any other rules need to know?
Any advice guys?
Any advice guys?
There are a ton of rules.
Google Phuket Sandbox for the easiest way to come.
Any advice guys?
The easiest way to come is through the Phuket or Samui sandbox programs. You can come into Bangkok or other places, but if you do, you will have to do a 2-week quarantine in a hotel where you cannot leave your room. If you come through one of the sandboxes, you can do your quarantine without staying in your room. You can't leave those islands during the two weeks, but after the two weeks, you can then travel within Thailand (there are travel restrictions, which you'll have to find based on when you are coming and where there are outbreaks).
So I don't know where you want to travel, but let's say you want to come to Pattaya. You could come into Bangkok and take a quarantine car to Pattaya and stay in a hotel there in your room for 2 weeks and then you would be in Pattaya and you could do what you wanted there. Or you could fly into Phuket and and spend 2 weeks hanging out at the beach and being outside your room, then travel to Pattaya freely (assuming there are no restrictions on travel to there) and spend the rest of your time in Pattaya.
Fly into Pattaya: Benefits. You'll be where you are trying to go, flight cost to Bangkok might be a little cheaper.
Fly into Pattaya: Downsides. You have to stay in your room for 2 weeks.
Fly to Phuket / Samui. Benefits - no quarantine in room, sex with ladies for those 2 weeks.
Fly to Phuket / Samui. Downsides - You'll have to find a way to get to Pattaya (I think there are cheap flights still running once or twice a week), cost might be a bit more (but not too much).
I am taking the Phuket sandbox route because I spent 5 weeks in quarantine in Korea and China trying to get back to my job in China and it sucked. The food would probably be better in Thailand, but it was just no fun at all. In Phuket, I can go outside and get exercise and enjoy the beautiful scenery and have sex. No contest in my book. From what it sounds like, I'll be able to find girls on ThaiFriendly who will fill the sex need and, if I can't get to Pattaya or Bangkok, so be it. I'll still have a great time. There's plenty to do and see on Phuket for a month.

I didn't want to deal with a lot of the hassles of finding insurance and everything, so I used this service to help me with the COE.

I am happy to provide the links to the insurance you need and the COVID testing and other stuff if you want to do the sandbox. Actually, it appears the links are in the first link I posted. The service was ok, but I now feel like I should have done it myself. And here is the site to actually fill out the COE. You need to do this no matter where you'll be flying into Thailand.

Oh, and it looks like the sandbox scheme is being expanded to include other destinations. Cool, I may use this because you can travel within the other sandboxes once you are in one sandbox.

Yes, I have always had difficult getting Colombian girls to kiss. It's almost always a no, at least in the P4 P category. And a lot of them have beautiful, luscious lips so it's difficult knowing up front your not going there. I have limited experience in Brazil so can't speak to that and somewhat better in PHP. Thai girls would kiss (even P4 P) but now with this Covid nonsense, I thought that would negatively impact their attitude and it appears it has. Like you are in inches of them regardless so not sure there is much of a difference in risk.
That is what separates Thailand, Philippines, Brazil, Colombia, etc. So depends on where you get your prostitutes as to what they usually do or like to do.

Even when there have been announced restrictions private cars will transport you anywhere in thailand for reasonable rates. Easy to find a drive thru FB expat groups. As long as you don't mind a long car ride getting to patts after sandbox is no problem.

Daily Singapore to Phuket flights.

I received an email about my COE and it's been approved. It's a happy day.
Weirdly, I joined a few facebook groups yesterday about jobs in my field in Thailand and I had two places email me for my CV. I then met with one this afternoon and she offered me a job on the spot. It's on Phuket in one of the non-Patong towns sometimes mentioned on this forum and the pay is 90 K baht per month. I only plan to do this for one year, so I'm thinking I should just at the chance. 90 K a month seems like plenty to find an apartment, pay for stuff, have some fun, and still save some money. I was looking at AirBNB places and it looks like I can get a nice smallish one bedroom with a kitchen for like 10 k baht per month.
I have to let her know by the end of the week if I'm taking it. I won't be able to monger as much as originally intended because I'll need to be respectable, but there will certainly be time for it. And I can stay for a year instead of 45 days.

There are many folk doing informative videos on BKKand Pattaya. Here is an excellent one on why not to go to Thailand. Such a mess.

There are many folk doing informative videos on BKKand Pattaya. Here is an excellent one on why not to go to Thailand. Such a mess.
That is what we call an anecdote, a sample of one. He chose to go to Phuket on the day the whole thing started and he ran into trouble because they were still figuring things out and didn't have everything in place. Thailand probably deserves some criticism for that, but those issues don't seem to be a problem anymore. They provide links for you to get insurance and book hotels and pay / schedule for testing. I had some troubles because their payment system didn't work from China, but that wasn't Thailand's fault. I have had similar problems with those types of payments from here. Otherwise, it's been a breeze. I got confirmation in 3 days and my hotel was really helpful. Maybe something will derail everything, but if that happens, it will most likely be because the virus conditions have changed, which wouldn't really be their fault. I have a super long layover in HK and then I'm sure I'll be at the Phuket airport for hours, but I am going in with a good attitude and that will get me through it without the need to make a whiny youtube video. I survived 2 weeks of lockdown hotel quarantine in Korea followed by 3 weeks lockdown quarantine in China, with similarly long horrible days and horrible food, so I surely can survive one bad day to enter Phuket sandbox. The next day I'll be in the pool and on the beach and in my bed with some beauty wrapped around me. I can deal with one really long crappy day.

Early days were early days.
He took a punt on coming at the very start when he and everyone was told everything was subject to change.
He's just a whinger and whiner.
Everything is way smoother than this now, there is no mess.
If you don't expect fluid paperwork and rules, then don't travel.
Stay home, the new world of traveling is dramatically different.
He also talks fuck all in the video about why he wanted to come, and whether that was delivered.
Look at the FB groups on Phuket Sandbox if you want a balanced view.
And if you're coming for the sex and the girls.
I can tell you now, that they're here and you won't be disappointed.
