If I was in your shoes I would double check if bringing the same girl multiple times would it be a 1-time charge or an additional charge every time she comes.

I checked in and checked out with my girl, so she was a guest, not a visitor and I was not charged. I would go off the email you got in terms of their visitor policy. The jacuzzi suite at the BHaus hotel was cheaper than the ermita, they were totally cool about chicas, and closer to the action in el centro and getsemani.

I recently stayed at the Ermita for my trip to Cartagena and I was also upset at the visitor policy charge. I thought maybe I could talk my way out of it but the hotel front desk guys are pretty tough. I was able to replace 1 chica for a new one the second night but after that they refused to budge.

On another note my trip was amazing. We were there during the Independence Day festivities and on Friday afternoon the city shutdown the street in front of the Ermita for a carnival. It was jam packed from 3 pm until 7 pm with party revelers. We were able to watch the whole thing from the rooftop. One guy that I struck a conversation with was covered in paint and was stressed due to the fact he got robbed of his wallet and phone. I really felt bad for the guy but I'm sure he'll move a little more cautious and with awareness now.

Other than the visitor charge at Ermita my stay was amazing.

Actually a bit above my price range, but I thought it will save me a lot of trouble and it actually looks pretty nice. What are the overnight going rates for ctg these days? I'm assuming hourly is still 200-300?

My my last trip in October many of my girls in Centro (even the ones I known for years) were now asking for $100 or 400 K pesos for one leche during the day.

I didn't bother taking any new girls overnight so I stuck with my usuals who were 500 K or no charge for the night.

Of course someone can get chicas for lower prices but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you may have to be specific on the type of girl you are looking for and prices they were asking.

For example if you like them surgery up with all the fake stuff you will end up paying allot, unless you get them at the last minute when they are desperate or after they been ran through all day / night. Big girls VS in shape ones, I was seeing allot of girls put on some serious weight to the point they were still trying to squeeze into outfits they have no cause in. Then there are the ones with the hood look, the new trend is tattoos all over their body especially chest tattoos.

Then there is the whole Venezuelans are cheaper than Colombians, are you asking for GFE, light or dark, pro BS non pro, 18 year old newbie vs hardened 30 year old, etc.

I know it appears all granular just for the price of a nut, but all this plays into the price.

However, I surely will not take the risk.[/QUOTE]Ermita hotel was guest friendly with no charge when I went there in May if this year. Girls just have to sign a paper at front desk. I do not know what the paper said. I booked through Marriott because it is supposedly their brand or they own it. I was given a pretty good room on the ground floor with big bathroom, powder room and big bedroom with king bed. Maybe they changed the rules now. When I went it was just after covid and probably they want to be nice to all guests. Maybe word got around and too many mongers were bringing many girls a day. It was approximately $100 per day with breakfast for two. There were some South Americans staying there with family. Maybe they want to attract more such families. But Cartagena hookers dress decent by South American standards where all girls advertise their body and nobody would know unlike many other parts of the world.

I liked the quiet location across the beach and walking distance to walled city and clock tower. There were many locals selling food nearby tasty and dirt cheap. Area seemed to cater to locals with fishermen selling their catch on the beach. I walked all hours and never felt threatened. For me the trip was on my bucket list but not necessarily for mongering. Mongering for me best is Southeast Asia especially Philippines. But I had some fun in Cartagena. Fellow board member thanks to him helped me I couldn't partake because I was not into that girl. She was all business which I do not like.

Wrapping a good week in Cartagena! On the beach all day, salsa bars at night. Only hung with chicas I already know. No new chicas.

Lots of stories of drugging and robberies by chicas. Even 2 guys who live here got hit. A guy in my building got drunk and a chica walked out with his phone and some cash. They say the police aren't doing much about it.

So play safe guys!

Centro is legitimately dangerous now. The influx of American money has attracted the scammers and thrives and they are going crazy in the city walls. Weirdly, the walk to Getsemani is actually pretty quiet. Unless it's for dinner or the clubs, there's no reason to be walking outside after 10 PM within the walls.

I was assaulted by about five chicks who surrounded me fairly early one evening about a month ago. They were all hanging out in front of the street leading from the reloj plaza towards Plaza Madrid. Wrote a report about it at the time. Cartagena has lost its charm as far as I am concerned. In the end, nothing bad happened to me as I punched one of the girls in her stomach as she attempted to grab my phone or wallet from my pocket. They backed off after that. And that's quite the handle you have, Mr. Warbeck! Yes, I also found the walk to Getesamani pleasant with no hassles until you reach Reloj.

It's not the cartgeneras that's the problem. It's the ladies that come from outside and the Venezuelans. I don't frequent the prepago scene much at all anymore, so I stick to meeting regular costeñas, and they are lovely. Try chatting up the girls at a restaurant or store. Or try picking them up at the clubs in Getsemani. You will find some semi pros there who are a lot less business like.

This is not like Thailand.

Even if the girl signs in, or leave her ID at the front desk, in many places the chica can just walk out or pick up the ID and leave. Most security do not call the gringo to make sure he gives the OK to let her leave or have a policy where the chica cannot get her ID back unless the gringo comes to the desk with her. If the girl is Colombian little to nothing will be done.

I've been in many buildings with security, and they just prevent people from coming in, not leaving. The girls just leave, and on the way-out security cut the band off of their wrist. If the gringo was drugged and robbed no one will know until the gringo wakes up, if he wakes up. Then the gringo can file a police report which goes little to nowhere.

Are the difference really so great to the Paisas advantage?

I met a paisa in Medellin once and she had moved to Bogota to "be a 10, here I'm only a 6".

I asked a Colombian friend, and he confirmed, and I think its true since he is costeno, but living in Medellin.

But then now they say that Cartagena is like a magnet.

Girls from all over the country the 9/10's, they go to Cartagena to meet gringos.

You get the costeno style of life, super-relaxed + the majority of alll prepagos of 9/10 quality are working in Cartagena.

Seems what is socially or culturally allowed in one city like Medelllin or Cali is not allowed in Bogota.

If you speak some Spanish, can you ask such a prepago to come to Scandinavia and live here?

Or maybe gringos-extranjeros on vacation in Cartagena already overpay so much so its not a good option for her, to live in Europe?
