As mentioned in the past threads, there are only small-scale saunas with few young and beautiful women inside in Hong Kong nowadays. In contrast, there are more and more saunas with strong lineups and quality services in Macau, which attracts lots of people including Hongkongers to come to this city to experience. I'm staying at the Burlington Hotel right by Wan Chai station. Decided to head up to Kowloon and see the sights. Quick MTR ride with 1 change to TST station. The official MTR app is quite helpful. Walked up to Temple Street Night Market, a nice walk, but not all that impressive.

A good summary of Wanchai in 2025, unfortunately. I've been there 3 x this year for work and have had similar experiences. Most of the women in the bars are Filipina, some Indonesian, almost all over 30 or even over 40. Many obviously get a cut of the drinks from the bars (in every receipt I've gotten, it's listed their names in the receipt), hence the constant pushing for drinks. And, of course, they always have a friend or two, who may not be as attractive, but are just as thirsty. But those drink prices really add up at $30-$80 HKD per glass.
When I was there in July it was low season, so I was getting quotes of $2 kHKD for a trip back to the hotel room. However since learning about DIA a while ago, for the past few years I have always arranged meetings a week or so before arriving in HK.
