Dream Club A Go Go (Old Carousel)
I was in Dream Club A Go Go Monday night. It's risen from the ashes of the old Carousel bar on Soi Diamond just off Walking Street. It is brand-spanking new (open less than a week) and has a nice set up. Clearly a fair chunk of change was spent on renovation. The girls were friendly and eager to sit with customers, but didn't hassle for drinks, even though there were only a few other customers in the bar at the time. Girls who recognized me from other bars came over to say hello, but none asked for a drink.
The 20-year-old coyote I invited to sit with me was gorgeous and had a very bubbly personality. I could write,"Me sat with me" and make perfect sense, as her name was Me. The girls were a mix of agency coyotes and bikini-clad dancers. There were two tall "Bangkok-model-style" dancers who did some impressive pole dancing and were topless for most of their show. Those were the only bare tits I saw during the hour or so I was there.
The seating is arranged so you have a clear view of the stage from wherever you're sitting. The lighting was bright, which is what I prefer, but that's a matter of personal preference. The music wasn't too loud. Each set of about 10 girls danced for roughly 20 minutes, rotating their positions on stage so you got a good look at all of them. The advantage of a lengthy dance "shift" is that it gives you a long stretch sitting with a girl who isn't dancing, the disadvantage being that you have to wait an equally long time for her to come back when she takes the stage for her shift. Considering the multi-girl shifts seem to alternate with the two-girl shows, there's plenty of "down time" for each girl.
A San Miguel Lite cost 135 baht and lady drinks 150. I've been told the bar offers an all-night Happy Hour deal on some mixed drinks and bottled Leo beer. No draft beer is available. I had already made arrangements for the night, so I didn't ask about bar fines and I never talk prices with the girls unless I'm ready to clinch the deal. I read on another board the bar fine for the coyotes is 1, 500 baht before midnight and 1, 000 after. I have idea about the BF for the bikini dancers.
Dream is a nice go go bar and I'll be back, which is the real test. But unless it's able to attract more customers, I can't see it remaining in business for long. It's set up to appeal to the same guys who frequent bars like Sensations and Whats Up, but I'm doubtful if there are enough such customers in Pattaya to fill multiple bars shooting for the high end of the market.
I exchanged a few words with the farang owner and he seemed a friendly guy.
A GF experience Pattaya style
Let this following story serve as a lesson to those who seek to pick a "fresh" girl up from a beer bar. This all happened in February 2013.
1) Wine them.
After dumping my 3-day 2-night "oldie but goldie" whom I had made acquaintance with at Bamboo bar and having had a "clean" night out at Lima and some Thai music clubs on 3rd Road with expat friends and their Thai wives, I felt inclined to find someone to cozy up with for the upcoming Macha Bucha day. It was Sunday night and around 5 pm I spotted a cute little spinner sporting quite impressive C-cups at Drop In Bar and Coffee on 2nd Road, just opposite Central Festival Mall. Kreem was her name and she came from the Laotian border. We downed a couple of drinks and I asked her to go eat with me as I had missed both my breakfast and lunch. I paid the bar fine since there was a promise of great sex in her eyes.
2) Dine them.
We went to the restaurant upstairs from the night market and got the conversation going. She was divorced with a kid (surprise!) and down to Pattaya for a month of making little extra for her recently widowed mother (sob!) and on leave from her marketing job in Bangkok. She really gave credit to the acronym Land of Smiles.
3) Do some handholding.
She seemed a prime candidate for a night at movies and I really wanted to see the theater at Central Festival. After watching Denzel Washington drink booze for two hours we headed towards Walking Street and danced a little at Walking Street disco. She was not against joining me at my hotel room. Great sex happened, followed by awesome cuddling and then some more great sex. Did I mention the sex was great?
4) Play home.
I thought she would want to go to a temple on Macha Bucha, but no."Oh, you have internet! You really have to see this awesome Thai soap opera. Will you watch this episode with me?" After 5 episodes some great sex followed. Six more episodes and then dinner in room. Two more episodes followed by some great sex. As it was a holiday for her I didn't need to pay the bar fine for Monday. Would I like to stay with her on Tuesday, too? Yes, I would. I fell asleep with her legs scissored around mine.
5) Hold her hair while she throws up.
On Tuesday, after a day out on town I asked her to join me to watch this quite funny show with live Thai music at a club at the very start of the Walking Street. I can't remember the name of the place but I had watched the show by myself already and it really helped to have someone to translate jokes. She had 5 Cokes with Jack and I was afraid she would fall off my motorbike on our way to the hotel. At hotel she threw up, first in bathroom and then into the waste basket. Not a pretty sight but I held her hair out of the way. As my brother is married to a Thai lady I knew what would follow: the sad story of her life. And then a rerun. And a rerun. One of us fell asleep in the middle of rerun number three. It might have been her.
6) There will be blood.
She woke up with hangover, but she was a good sport and said she would eat me alive that day. And she did, until the sheets started to feel funny kind of wet underneath us. It was not a trickle. More like a pool. I knew the maids were going to throw a fit."Could you please go to 7-11 and get me some pads?" Pads? All the pads in SEA could not have blocked that river.
7) Buy her tampons.
Of course I couldn't find the right kind of pads, so I bought her tampons instead. She had never in her life seen anything resembling a tampon."What is this string? Why is there a tube? I can't make any sense of these instructions! Can you do it for me?" So now I had done it: putting something else beside my dick, tongue or fingers into a Thai bar girl! The maids threw a tantrum and love was not among the feelings I could read in their eyes when they eyed my "conquest". Some soap opera watching followed. Sex was sticky and not so great.
8) Go buy pads.
The tampons felt funny to her so I scootered down to 7-11. I still couldn't find the pads so I called her and she explained what she wanted to the clerk. Not the proudest moment of my life. But my lady was happy and we went to pay one more bar fine. As there was still a chance of getting some more great sex this seemed like a smart thing to do. Upon returning to hotel she felt sick and nauseated. No sex followed. I took out my laptop and started working. Cuddling was good and there was a promise of great sex in the air. And the night fell.
9) Dream of a wedding.
Thursday morning was full of great expectations. Great sex was included in mine. But no girlfriend experience is complete without talk about wedding plans. Weddings by Mekong River are not expensive: 100 000 baht as dowry would also take care of catering and a small local band. She wrote the number 100 000 on a piece of paper and told me to keep it safe and think about. Now that talk had turned to money it was natural to discuss her mothers needs as a new widow. 1500 baht a day for the past four would be a good start. We agreed on 5000 baht so far and one more bar fine as there was a possibility of great sex. There was sex. After three hours of on-and-off shagging, DATY and all that old sin business I could not get my release. The picture of her mother and a piece of paper with hundred grand written on it were holding me back, not counting the fact that it was already day 10 of my Thailand trip. We went out to the town.
10) Take her shopping.
200 baht for a dress is not much. Nor is 150 baht for a shirt. They always start small. I learned that you can buy anything for your Thai girlfriend but you cannot pay for her shoes since that brings bad luck and leads to a break-up. What the heck, I paid for her shoes without hesitation and prayed for the wheels of destiny to turn quickly. We dined on street food and watched the sunset. Apparently there is some great fishing on Mekong River and it is not expensive to build a house up there. Well, you learn something new every day. I had a feeling there would be some great sex happening before morning. There was not.
11) Money talk leads to quarrel.
On Friday she found out her roommate had skipped town without paying for her part of the rent. It was funny because they had felt like sisters for all the 8 days she had already spent at Pattaya. It was only 5000 baht. Could I loan it to her? I politely declined. Sex was almost great and there was a suggestion on her part that we could do it without condom. I politely declined. Afterwards she asked if I would pay the bar fines for her for the whole weekend. I politely declined said I was at the end of my rope money wise. I paid her 1500 baht for our last night and said that if she paid her own bar fines she could stay with me for the weekend. We parted on good terms. She said she would dream of meeting me again. I dreamed of getting a threesome at Annie's, going to Eden and then finding a spinner at Hillary 4. Which I did the on Sunday, all three of them. And the sex was great.
12) Repeat steps 1 through 11 until you realize you can take a girl out of the bar but not the bar out of the girl (bar the exception that proves the rule).
