It was not my intention to start either a shit storm nor an ethical discussion about the different types of prostitutes.
In my book, a prostitute is a person (female or male) who provides sexual services for money.
According that definition, women (and men) at all soapies / oilies / GoGos / bars and similar venues qualify as prostitutes.

My use of the attribute "Gold-digging" may have been ambiguous. I keep reading here, that more and more women are interested only in the money and could not care less about the customer, I. E. 'no heart' That is what I meant.

Women at legit MPs are a different story (see my #1 and #3).
A foot massage cost 250 or 300 Baht and out of that she gets 100 Baht plus any tip her stingy customers may give or may not give. At 4 customers / day (MAX!) and 6 days / week she makes 11,000 Baht (USD 300) a month plus TIPS.
As I wrote, many strictly-legit MPs don't allow anything over and above a HJ on the premisses, so the chances to earn extra tips at the shop are slim.

Although some might not restrict the definition to a woman who strives to marry into wealth, the general idea is a woman who will show a romantic interest in a wealthy man for the purpose of extracting his money. A prostitute who accepts fees for services rendered, does not by that fact alone become a gold digger. But a prostitute who seeks rich sponsors, often while pretending to be in love with them, would fit the category.

It is not like, say, Tulip, where you walk in and are guaranteed a certain menu and / or level of performance (in terms of sexual services) by the reputation of Tulip. These (semi) legit MPs offer foot, thai and oil massages and you will get a HJ if you are not too repulsive to the lady. I know (from independent sources) that my #3 frequently refuses to give HJs.

That's interesting. I had no idea I was supposed to tip the papasan at a soapy. Is this normal?
