General Reports
I've been to BKK (5-day trip) and to Phuket multiple times.

Though I dream about owning a condo in a big city, e. G, Paris, Lisbon, Tokyo, etc. , I found BKK to be noisy, crowded but frankly, the city with the most beautiful girls I've ever see!

So my question is, if you live in BKK 9 months a year, do you get bored or do you use BKK as a base to explore Thailand and the rest of Asia?

Or maybe share why you chose to buy a condo in BKK? Very interesting to hear your story. And thanks in advance for sharing!
A follow up in relation to getting bored.

Pre covid. Work during the day, GF comes over 2 to 3 days per week. Hit a club 1 or 2 nights per week with a few fellow minded deviates. Maybe slip into a massage 1 or 2 days per week. Grab street food every day, cheap but excellent restaurants every night. Friends / acquaintances / family visiting from other countries. Bangkok is a great city. Never get bored.

During Covid. Most of everything is shut or limping along. Yes it is boring, but so are most places in the world at the moment.
That is what we call an anecdote, a sample of one. He chose to go to Phuket on the day the whole thing started and he ran into trouble because they were still figuring things out and didn't have everything in place. Thailand probably deserves some criticism for that, but those issues don't seem to be a problem anymore. They provide links for you to get insurance and book hotels and pay / schedule for testing. I had some troubles because their payment system didn't work from China, but that wasn't Thailand's fault. I have had similar problems with those types of payments from here. Otherwise, it's been a breeze. I got confirmation in 3 days and my hotel was really helpful. Maybe something will derail everything, but if that happens, it will most likely be because the virus conditions have changed, which wouldn't really be their fault. I have a super long layover in HK and then I'm sure I'll be at the Phuket airport for hours, but I am going in with a good attitude and that will get me through it without the need to make a whiny youtube video. I survived 2 weeks of lockdown hotel quarantine in Korea followed by 3 weeks lockdown quarantine in China, with similarly long horrible days and horrible food, so I surely can survive one bad day to enter Phuket sandbox. The next day I'll be in the pool and on the beach and in my bed with some beauty wrapped around me. I can deal with one really long crappy day.
Nah, you'll be fine.

You don't sound like a whinger.

Not like the video maker, and many others around who like to complain that their glass isn't full any more.
I hope you can make it to Tijuana, at least. I made a quick run to Tijuana in April, I hit Hong Kong and Adelitas, stayed at Cascadas for 3 nights. Unlike my Thai, which is worthless, my Spanish is excellent, so Mexico is super for me.
I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to covid. Mexico does not look enticing at all. The Dominican Republic looks best of all, I'm seriously considering a trip there.

Long term mongers will know how useful plastic bags are to simulate suicide in farangs after a robbery; it is a kind of standing joke, like suicide by six bullets to the head.

The importance of this report is a BKK police chief is in the soup for checking out a drug addict with a plastic bag.

The British government have put Thailand as well as the cigarette smuggling Mecca of Montengro on the red no fly list. You can now go to Liechenstein (how I don't know) if you have any billions to launder.

The importance of Thailand is it is currently an expensive pain in the neck to go there and I don't imagine Brits are pouring into the Phuket sandbox like a Dunkirk in reverse.

The comments section make plain what people think of this latest part of the Great Reset scam. Illegal migrants pouring in, Afghanistan being evacuated and now this.

Anyone following the Special Olympics in Tokyo? Why is that lark in the park going ahead and honest hookers in Thailand and elsewhere are denied their means to buy rice?

School holidays are over so this should be a time for more space on places. Plenty of space now but peasants are not allowed fly.

Jo Ferrari, the cop boss who suffocated a suspect to death by the farang tested method of putting multiple plastic bags over his head, has surrendered. And given a presconference.

The link also includes a Thai cop giving cops big "bonuses" for catching someone.

Thank God they found the handsome man or the whole village would go short.

I logged onto TF today and discovered their web site has been redesigned. I'm not a paying member at this time so unable to fully check out the redesign.

The winter of 2021 I skipped due to Covid. And my schedule is quite similar to yours except that I am retired so my routine is a bit different than yours but plenty of time to enjoy deviant behavior along with many cultural attractions. Also, I use Bangkok as a base and travel to different places in Asia. Flights are inexpensive and short and I have visited Laos, Burma, Bali and Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam. In March 2020, I went to Hoi An, Vietnam for the second year in a row with a foray to Hue and some time spent in DaNang. Unfortunately, by then Covid had reared it's ugly head so I had to quickly change plans to return to my home country. But, I usually stay about three months in Bangkok and other Asian places and leave in early April when the heat arrives, traveling from there to Europe and then home to US.

They are known to be in Bhutan, areas of China and Burma and also Taiwan. Maybe the article meant beer?

How long could I stay if I can't do a visa run? I usually like to stay five months. Thanks.
