Pattaya Reports

Folks,

Planning a trip to Pattaya shortly and was taking the ISG orientation course. Talking of bar girls, I am in touch with a bar manager (mamasan?) through facebook. MILF type, which I fancy with good looks. After being in touch for a couple of weeks, when I announced my date of travel, pat came the reply that she is in urgent need of 4000 BT for paying her rent and she would replay me when I come to Pattaya. I was surprised at her confidence that someone would send her money after exchanging few messages over facebook. I politely refused and said that I would like to meet her first and take things from there. She looks certainly doable but I do not think 4000 BT is what you would pay for a bar girl, going by the reports. Not sure if anyone has had an experience with a mamasan.

Any thoughts and advice guys?

Clearly the lady ain't shy about asking complete strangers for money. If she asks enough people, she'll get a few suckers. It's a numbers game. We will officially drum you out of the ISG Corps and strip you of your membership if you fall for something this nutty.

BTW, are you sure she is legit and really exists? I've heard rumors that some Nigerians have the temerity to pose as other people on web sites and solicit money. It's probably just a racist rumor, but you can't be too careful. :D :D

In the old days in the Disco Saturday Night Fever days, my buddy use to love to dance but pretty much a wall flower otherwise. As soon as we went in I became the wallflower and he became the disco king. I would watch him go around the room and ask until someone would dance with him. He has no shame, no ego, I use to think how the f-k can you get turn down so many times and not have it affect your ego?

As for lending money if she is doing this on Facebook, you shouldn't loose any sleep over it if you just skip over it and don't give or say anything. Based on what I going to say because my membership will be stripped but what the hell I'll make the sacrifice to help you out. I was seeing a good friend with this P4P, we got it on pretty well, one day she said I'm short on the rent " I'll pay you back " months later it was she got robbed, short for this, nearly two years later the big one was " I just got a abortion " and can't work now for 2 weeks, thinking why tell me? Is it mines and did she do me a favor? Thinking whatever I might be getting off light? I said o. K, long story short in the end, she got a sponsor, saw her the other day after no call for months for a old time drink while she was visiting in town. Never got pay back even though she was showing off buying drinks for all her old friends and me that is all I got? Not even a kiss or hug just a handshake? Smiling I said have a good life and you will understand if I delete your number from my contacts. Just like the line " I will pay you back " it was " up to you " Now don't get me wrong I hope if you do she does pay you back and don't get me wrong there are one's that will pay you back and cherish those Thais that do! But someone asking for money over the Internet even if it was a scam from a Nigerian etc. You know the Chinese was recently caught doing something very similar in Bangkok. Like the other poster said " you answer you own question!"

With so many bars around, this could be a marketing pitch to get customers before they set their foot on the land of milk and honey.

The next month I will reach Pattaya and I'd like to know if there is a better exchange rate by ATM or by exchange house.

Hey Fellas, I am coming to Pattaya after 5 years being away, heard a lot changed and the place is more expensive? The hotel prices seem to be quite reasonable.

Whats the going price today for the ladies? 5 years ago I remember stopping at Happy A-Go-Go and my memory is not crisp but it was about 3000 baht for the bf + long time for a very nice girl. I like taller girls (5'5+, yea I am in the wrong country, I know) and Happy seemed to have quite a few of these. Don't want to be an overpayer that everyone hates. Where do I find a good bargain?

I hear you on the freespending japanese, I am scratching my head where all this money is coming from, their currency just lost 30% of its value, and japan's economy is not exactly hot right now to justify this largesse.
