I just arrived in are de Janeiro and the cab driver who brought me to the Ramada in Riocentro told me a few Km down the road there is a place called Paris Cafe. He says the girls are great but there is an entrance fee.
Can anyone tell me if this is a good place to check out?

Last night I had to go to a dinner and after a few caipirinhas I was brought back to my hotel. So I figured I would go and check out Paris Cafe.
The moment I arrived I understood it would not be cheap. The place looks like a dance club, but when you go in there are literally a few dozens of girls, I calculated at midnight about 40 or 50. I talked to a few gorgeous mulatas but was attracted to a very nice little thing who calls herself Julia.
Unfortunately I do not speak Portuguese but in my best portuņol tried really hard to bargain but neither she or the others would take less than 350 reais for 40 min!
As explained before, I had some caipirinhas on and the quality was worth it so I gave her a try.

To be honest I am disappointed about the run down venue.
I think the German FKK clubs are in better shape, most probably because they are newer, I enjoy sauna, the saina at Centaurus has a temperature of 40 see, which might be OKin Rio, the girls are on a similar level.
As with everybody and everything, it depends on the moment, the chemistry, the mood etc.
Well it was a pleasant experience will try Monte Carlo in a few days and will see if I can find a garota with a memorable performance.

So I have been here almost a week and I'm having a blast. Unfortunately I leave tomorrow so here's my status report.
This week has been a good week to be in Rio. As you know the Brazil Real is taken a major hit against the US Dollar. So you money can stretch a little bit more.
Also found some local Brazil spots where you can get girls for less than 100-120 Real per hour and they look just as good as any girl in a typical Brazil termas.
The Balcony.
As you know the Balcony is a popular Gringo Spot and I was there maybe 1 or 2 nights, The Talent can be a hit or miss. Some of the other mongers recommend coming to.

After many years of being absent from these forums, I am hoping to make my return to Rio (and international mongering) in 2016. To those who don't, check my reports in the Rio, Bogota, Medellin, and Panama City forums.
I know it will be a ridiculously overpriced time to visit, but, I plan to come out to Rio in August 2016 for the Olympics. Vila Mimosa, 4 x4, and some of the office building "massage" spots are forever etched in my psyche due to my past experiences there. During past trips, I talked to some girls who shared ridiculously inexpensive pricing for the apartments they were staying in (not favelas), mostly somewhat close to the now-defunct Help. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into some of these apartments: names, contact info, experiences, pricing, etc.
I already have a place locked down, but, I just wanted to see what else is out there. Thanks in advance! Great to be (quasi, for now) back to the forum.

Fairly quiet with maybe 15-20 girls with arrange of body types. Strangely everything stopped and the lights went up for a game of bingo!! There is a main bar plus a smaller smoking room. I was attracted by two girls with big tits. A loira branca who I didn't get to talk to and a small stacked bahiana called Fabrina that I'm going back tomorrow to enjoy. One hour is 190 RL.
Termas 31 - Rua the Alcantara Machado 31.
This is close to MV30. As you walk down Mayrink Veiga from Rio Branco, Alcantara Machado is the road on the right just before MV30. There is promotion at the moment with free entrance and all drinks are 10 RL. You have to check bags in at the front desk. I checked mine in and everything was still there (including a small camera) when I picked it up. No robes. You get a card which is marked with drinks etc. The place at 8 pm was more or less dead. There were about 10-12 girls with about half fuglies (there are some girls who should not be allowed to wear bikinis. In T31 there were 3 of them, overweight with guts and ripples of fat). There were several nice looking girls. If you like big butts there was a tall mulatta with an afro and huge butt from Bahia who I talked to. Nice girl, I forget her name but look out for the afro and bunda. I stayed about 30 minutes to check the place out then left. Sessions are 30/40/60 minutes and I think the Bahiana said they were 100/120/140 RL respectively.
Termas 81 - Rua the Quitanda 81.
This is close to 4 x4. From Av. Rio Branco walk down Buenos Aires past 4 x4 and then take the next road on the right, this is Quitanda. T81 has no entrance fee but you have to buy at least one drink. The guy on the door speaks English. He will give you an entrance card which is marked with your drinks The stairs up from the street lead straight into the boate which is basically a smallish room with a bar along one wall plus the desk where you go to pay and get your card stamped to exit. No robes. This place had lots of locals drinking and about 10 girls. I didn't stay long. Didn't talk to any girls and didn't find out prices, but I wouldn't bother.
On a walk round I found the following.
Faceclub. Rua the Quitanda 74.
This termas appeared on the Brazilian forums last year and had LOTS of activity but was quiet recently. I was looking forward to paying it a visit but its closed.
Aquarius. Rua do Acre 61. (close to MV30 on the "dark side" Closed with For Rent sign outside.
America Night Club. Rua Visconde the Inhauma 105. Closed at 6 pm when I walked past.
IN SUMMARY. This might not hold if demand is low but I don't see a great surge in supply. For London 2012 locals were holding out for high prices but in the end it never really materialised.
Anyway for now a good 2 bed in Copacabana in the first 2 blocks is likely to be quoted at 1500-2500 per night maybe higher. Stupid cash but during the World Cup people seemed to be paying it.

I note this because guys too often focus only on the exchange rate and not the price in nominal currency. For illustration, the exchange rate was 1. 7 my first visit to Rio in 2000. However, prices in Real were 1/4 or less than what they are today. So it was way less expensive despite a less favorable exchange rate.
Right now, we have a pretty favorable exchange rate (by historical standards). However the prices in Real just keep going up, more than taking away our gains from the exchange rate.

Reais. Today I did a check on a 3 bed I've rented before Posto 4 beach block view of the sea (sleeps 8) and they were quoting are $3200/ night for the 16 nights). Normal rate for this apartment is are $450/ night and are $1000 Carnaval and Reveillon. Early days but don't think it will be far short of the prices paid.

On my first trip in Nov 2008 the rate was about 2. 5 and Monte Carlo was 270 BRL I believe so that was about $108. Now Monte Carlo from what I hear is $370 (may $360) and the rate today was 2. 54 so that's about $145. So Monte Carlo has gone up about 34% in 6 years. Now that I think about it that's not as bad as I thought. LOL! I was paying 200 BRL for all TLN in 2008 and I have not budged from that since. I paid 250 once on my first trip. I have come to the conclusion that I may have to consider 250 BRL on this trip but I don't feel bad because I haven't given these big butt freaks a raise in 8 years. They deserve it. LMAO!
Live and direct from the streets of Rio. Checked out 4 X4 yesterday around 10:30. The lineup was a bit thin, 10-12 gals and about 8 guys in the place. I asked one of the ladies, why it was so thin and she said Monday is a slow day. Also, probably because it was late. Me and my friend ended up doing a group session which typically goes for 440 R / person in a suite, for 300 R / person. By the way, was at Balcony last night and these low-to-mid grade GDPs are out of their mind. It appears the standard is 300 R there. No way am I paying 4 X4 prices at Balcony. But just as you would with the stock market, you wait until the price drops. Strategy I employed and by 2 AM, those 300 R came down to 200 R. Ended up leaving with a chick for 150 R.
