I, however, have no interest in them.

The aesthetic preference for thai people, which is on display in both photos I posted, seems to be to have bleached white, sickly looking skin, a tall sturdy body, and androgynous features that are a mixture of japanese and farang looks.

In actuality thais have tan skin, exotic eyes and features and beautiful petite bodies (especially their legs). It's these features they should embrace and accentuate, rather than trying so hard to be things they're not (pale foreigners).

Attached is more of the look I wish they would go for (although the girl isn't thai, I'm aware). It's kind of annoying when you move halfway around the world and are eager to meet exotic women, only to find a large percentage of them trying their hardest not to look exotic.

I'd have to concur that this last pic is preferable to the other two as far as the face is concerned. Of course the third one only gave us the face. The first two would not be my type as they are too fat, at least in the legs, so I'd likely pass them by if I saw them going for 1000 Baht in the Nana parking lot area, or even for free. In all due respect I think your perpective is all wrong although both sets of picture you provided of girls are all beyond the scope of 10'S IMHO.

Without you knowing them just because their skin color is darker doesn't mean either set is less / more of a Thai than the other. When I was growing up I though every girl in Hawaii should look like the pictures or movies in post cards etc. Very exotic but when I went to Hawaii on my first trip to stay with my cousins they all had white skin and didn't or rarely went to the beach because they didn't want to get dark but if you told them they weren't Hawaiian?

You just have a preference for darker skin for me I'm consistent. I like both sets and can't afford either and neither would give me a second look!

The part that is missing in this discussion is that Thailand is controlled by people of Chinese heritage primarily centered in Bangkok. This group controls the money, the military, the media; while some members control the supply of illicit goods, (eg, women, fake goods, yaba, etc.), delivered to the Thai market (and beyond).

The "farang" market is provided with the leftovers. In the case of the skin trade, this means dark Isaan women, who do not look particularly beautiful to most. Fortunately, they can be very sweet women with voracious sexual appetites!

Personally, it's the fake noses that bother me the most. Two of my sweet, young favorites, one at Tulip and one at Suzie Wong, recently had their noses and chins fixed. It's just not the same for me anymore.

However, for some strange reason, I am more than happy to handle a nice set of enhanced "nom yai."

No, it's different. I want Thai women to look like Thai women (which is exotic to me) , not like Japanese-farangs.

Imagine many farang girls decided they were going to get eyelid surgery to give them more Asian eyes, get their tits removed, pile on brown colored makeup and basically try to look like Thai women. I myself would (and have) burn to a crisp long before I got any kind of tan. But it's not just about the tan is it? It's those distinctly Asian features as well. Not some hybrid watered down version. That will NOT feed my Yellow Fever.
