Yeah. That sucked big time. But I reported him and have not seen him since then.
Wasted, you can pass along the experience you had a couple of trips back, how a Sheraton cab took you to a place you knew (Obsession) and how the cab driver charged you extra, plus he signed up at the Obsession list to get his kickback.
Remember how the hostess told us "how am I going to tell the waiters to charge you the kickback for the driver???"
How could she if you are a regular of the club.
A few questions:
Are the Monterrey drug wars we read about in the U.S. impacting any strip clubs?
Are Infinitos and Matehuala still good? Any other nearby suggestions?
Does the Plaza del Arco remain a 'girl friendly' place?
And, Amigomio -- will you please post again where your excellent map is located?
-
Let me answer your questions:
#1. Drug wars impacting the SC in what sense? I still go there 4 times a week and regular life is normal, nowhere as close as the danger that looms at the border towns.
Check this link:
www.multimedios.tv
On the right hand side going down you'll se a link that says "Sintonizenos en Internet", there you can check the daily newsacasts going on at 6:00 am, 12:00 and 7:00pm (CST) so you can see with your own eyes that the city has the normal kind of life you can expect of a 4 million people metropolis.
By the way, Monterrey violent? Can we compare Monterrey to Chicago or the Detroit area that are far more violent that Tijuana?
#2 Infinito (not plural nor posesive sense) and Matehuala are still good, yes. The first way above the second. Recomend other places? Check my map. My favorite watering holes aside Infinito are Harem and Pasarelas on Madero Ave. but there are still more options.
#3. Plaza del Arco still girl friendly. I will be sincere. I don't know. Wasted used to stay there but has opted to move to a better hotel, sacrificing the "girl friendly" optoon in exchange of a better service.
#4. And my map can be found at the "Links to Reports of Distinction" section, post 7.

They did a special celebrating the Weather girl moms.
Karla Marqueda and Karla Luna are moms.
Turns out Karla Luna was pregnant at age 15. She's 27-29 right now.
Any of you can do the math...

So if Karla's kid follows in her footsteps, Karla will be an abuela by 30. Never thought I'd see a GILF.

Quick Questions
Hello Carlos and company. I'm going to be in town later this week after a couple years away and I have a few questions I hope you can answer.
My employer likes us to stay out North in the San Nicolas area. Do you know if the new metro line is operating that far out? I saw that some new stations are opening "in the spring" but beyond that it wasn't clear.
Where exactly does the main station sit. Is it over near the KFC and the arco or is it more west?
I have always preferred the Villa Gran area clubs for their great value. I avoid any club that insists on running a tab. In the past, 200 pesos seemed to be the fair value chica fee for in-house FS. Is that still the case or might it have gone up some? Is the average fee somewhat higher at Infinito compared to the sister clubs? Salida is not a viable option because of hotel and coworker constraints.
My favorite non-club attraction is El Gaucho restaurant. Is there a more busy time of night that might be avoided? I seem to recall that it was kind of on a side street. Would you expect it to be a challenge to get a cab for the ride home?
I like to sit at the stage and I stick out like a sore thumb. If anyone happens to be around come up and say hi. Thanks for any and all advise.

I'm not really sure about the progress of the metro out to San Nicholas. Carlos is probably up on that however.
What I can comment on is your aversion to running a tab. Over time, I too have become quite adverse to running tabs in certain bars. If I run a tab, it's when I'm with Carlos, and he runs interference for us both. The clubs that run tabs don't ever insist that I run a tab. They all seem willing to accept payment at the time the drinks are delivered. This seems true with the exception of places like Prestige and Obsession where there is a cover charge tacked onto the bill, etc...But, if I am not mistaken, even at Prestige and Obsession, you can pay the cover at the door, and still pay as you go. Carlos can clarify the accepted procedures at the higher end bars like Prestige, Obsession, Poisson, Amnesia, etc...You should have no problem paying as you go at the medium level bars, TVO, Harem, Pasarelas, Casino, Spugna, etc...
Lately, one of the worst offending bars for scamming tabs has been Pasarelas. But, Pasarelas, depending on what month and week you visit, can be a very good place to visit with respect to selection of girls. So, rather than throw the baby out with the bath water, I just make them accept payment at the time they deliver the drinks. I simply pay as I go.
And furthermore, I am always careful to call their direct attention to the denomination of bills I am giving them, almost in a cartoonish characterization of body language and verbal expression so they resist the temptation to switch from the 200 pesos bill to the 20 peso bill.
Believe it or not, they have tried that switch several times. You know, you hand them a 200 pesos bill, and with slight of hand, they produce, seconds later, a 20 pesos bill as they are fishing for change, trying to make you believe that you mistakenly gave them a 20 pesos bill instead of a 200 peso bill.
You know, if you don't have your glasses on, or it's dark, doubt as to what you actually gave them can creep into your mind. So, I always make it kind of an exaggerated specticle, and concentrate specifically when I give them the dough. That tactic seems to have stopped their nonsense for now.
As for the cost of full service in a place like El Infinito, I think the F/S cost is closer to 400 pesos + songs in the privados. I believe a blow job is around 200 pesos + songs. As for your not being able to enjoy salidas, I would recommend the upper level massage parlors as a decent alternative. It isn't quite the same, but it's better than the hard back, back breaking chairs in El Infinito. But, of course, the cost is a consideration in comparison. However, I have concluded that the cost of El Infinito with respect to time is relatively high. I mean, usually, with respect to F/S, you can rarely get out of the privados without paying for a series of songs. My typical bill in the privados on the very, very rare occassion that I would visit them and endulge is usually between 500-600 pesos all inclusive. Eventually, it just seems like it's good money throw after bad when you realize that a salida from one of the bars for up to 2 hours is 1350 pesos. But, of course, your constraints are certainly understandable with respect to co-workers etc...That's why I suggest the massage parlors as an alternative.

Gringo Wadero... what is it? 2, 3 years since your last visit?
I guess you are staying again at the Hampton or the Holiday Inn in San Nicolas area.
The new metro line is still not operating at the area you are staying. Maybe in the Fall season. The closest station working is at the University. To far from your hotel.
And yes, the main junction of stations is at El Arco in the downtown area.
First of all check at the "Links to Reports of Distinction" thread, post #7, you'll find a link to a Google map I made of the city.
It includes, SC, MP's, restaurants (incluidng El Gaucho), malls... tons of stuff I didn't pass along in my old maps.
El Gaucho is on the second page of the marker links.
And no: el Gaucho is always full. Make a reservation. A hotel taxi will get you there, no problem at all.
Return trip, am sure El Gaucho staff will get you a cab. Just be specific on the hotel and the area you are staying.
Yes, prices at the Villagran area, specificaly pointing at Infinito have changed.
100-150 pesos for Bj
300-350 pesos for a FS
50 pesos per 4 minute private dance
But Infinito is still the place to be.
Gringo, you know the drill: feel free to ask your questions.

Gringo Wadero...
I think Doubt98, another guy from another forum and me were witness to your "sticking out like a sore thumb".
If it was you, we were right behind you.
You were having so much fun at ring side that we decided not to disturb you.
And boy... I got in, went elsewhere, went meet the guys, went back and you were still there...
Isn't Infinito still the place to be???

Infinito had strong line ups, especially the Friday early group. To be honest though, I never really gained much momentum there compared to prior visits. My best time was actually had at Matahuala late Saturday going well into Sunday. Thanks for your earlier feedback. I'll add some observations in a day or two.

We saw you on Saturday... I think it was you.
You were sitting almost smack in the middle of the #1 stage, to the right of the steps, right after the bulge that forms the end of it.
Anyway, you took a lot of girls upstairs.... you had fun, didn't you?
