East China - Shanghai
Just traveled to some other medium-sized cities. In every one, 5-star hotels had closed their spas for "renovations. " When I asked, none knew when they would reopen. The usual "next month or maybe never" response. In one town, all the bars had also been closed for "renovations. " Amazing how extensive this is.
That's insane. And yet, the Beijing thread isn't reporting any type of crackdown. Seems weird that the capital is being left alone.

BTW Guy, I sent you a PM. Please check it when you get a chance.

Yeah, appears to be eastern part of China, definitely multiple provinces but the whole country (yet). People in the 5-star hotel said they did not know what the government was doing, just that all bars and massage places had to shut. This was hundreds of miles away from Shanghai.

There had been some talk about an inspection in Shanghai, but clearly it's broader than that.
If they live out of town, then what does it mean that they will working from their "home apartment" in Shanghai? Their boss or MP owner will rent a cheap flat for them in Shanghai?
Hi,

Not sure about that. They did not mention. May be they just share the apartment.

M.
Dude, sorry, nothing in my inbox.
Shit. I probably messed up. I'm almost always drunk when I come onto ISG. Anyway, I sent you a new PM just now.

Talked to one today and they offered to send girl to me (but said can't do in clinic) - that'll sure eliminate mongering.

Anyway, they said their branches outside of Jing an most operating as normal, so finally a bit of good news.

Found a city untouched by the crackdown. Got in some good mongering.

I want to visit Shanghai the first time. Is mongering still possible besides the crackdowns? If only the bars and massage parlors are under supervision, then there should still be nightclubs with freelancers or wechat possibilities?

Shanghai is big. Are there really no brothels in other city districts up and running? Or is the scene dead?

Please enlighten me.

Do the reported crackdowns mean Shanghai is a no-go for mongering or are there still enough freelancers in the nightclub? Shanghai is huge, if only the massage parlors and some bars have been cracked down, there should still be many hookers left? Or did prices go up insanely high, like $300?

Hi guys,

Just registered on the forum after a few weeks as a guest viewer. Thanks for all the insights provided.

My recent experiences:

Last action was a month ago in my usual go to HJ MP at Jiashan Rd, and that was already sort of messy with strict policy toward wearing shorts, and only 1 shower available for the whole MP.

Tried to get back there 2 or 3 times over the last month, was still opened but they only provided foot massage (was not really in the mood).

Been back on Sunday and that was now closed. Managed to talk with someone through the locked glass door and they say they were handling some renovations. Classic excuse lately as per other members reports.

Also tried to get actions from other MP I was a regular in:

- Spring Massage at Madang Road: Could spot old & ugly masseuses upstairs, which prevented me to go for it, as normally this place has nicer ones. They were still offering the massage at 388 RMB though, so could have lead to some little action.

- Sunny Massage at People Square: this one is on the fancy side so I thought it could still be opened / have made the cut as it also offers regular massage.

Cheers.

That being said you need to speak chinese and have done your homework in the past to be connected to most options and noone is going to publish specific options in the open or to a 2 post user.

Hell regarding the sauna or few shops who offer service to old customers I wouldn't send anyone there since all it takes is an anonymous tip from a competitor, displeased customer or neighbour to be arrested and most likely deported considering the current situation.

Lockdown on leisure such as legit MPs should be lifted between tomorrow for some MPs till next week for others.

As for less legit service we shall see but I guess begining of July / mid July will see several reopenings for the MPs offering both legit and less legit service.
BTW got the confirmation some bars will start reopening Friday and other spots will follow in the upcoming week.
What's the background of crackdown all locations and then accepting stepwise the reopen?

How does everyone keep overview about the status? Do you know wechat groups. Contacts.

By the way, watch out whom you interact with on WeChat. One of my accounts, used for mongering, was hacked into (by LE, I think).

I'm connected to someone based in Shanghai whose handle includes the name "Hailey. " Seems to have a bunch young, high-end Chinese hotties. All looks too good to be true. Anyone tried this service?
By the way, watch out whom you interact with on WeChat. One of my accounts, used for mongering, was hacked into (by LE, I think).
I have 2 WeChat accounts. One is based on a registered cell phone number, and the other I use for the mongering. For the past couple of months, the latter account has been acting up. Sometimes I cannot even log off from the latter account and must turn off my device. Meanwhile the legit account works perfectly fine. The higher ups are highly likely auto-monitoring our WeChats for mongering activities. A person on another site mentioned that he opened a new WeChat account and started contacting WGs and discussing rates and then suddenly his account got blocked. Note also that many WGs that do incall will not provide their specific addresses. They provide a meeting place. Or they call you to tell you their address. It's probably also best to not reveal our addresses and definitely wise not to discuss arrangements on WeChat.
